Boniol question

They hired him as a "part time kicking consultant."

So who knows what that means.

In the coaching ranks of the NFL one has to somewhat work his way up to full status. Being a kick specialist, Boniol has to establish record with Dallas. Jerry rewards his coaching staff well and with retainability. Since Wade didn't did his heels in objecting to the concept of a coach geared on kicking itself, as Parcells did, then things look very positive for Boniol. My guess, given directions in play at present, that he will be associated with the franchise for a stable period to come...he works very well with Buehler.

This is needed, there will be ups and downs in the FG kicking with Buehler, he may need Boniol to walk him through those and not flunk like Folk did . FG kicking is 50% physical ability and 50% mental aspects.

When they announced they hired him it was reported that they haven't decided if its just for camp or if he will work with Buehler all season. It probably depends on if Buehler is successful or not.

Certainly, if Boniol does well with Buehler, it will help him get future gigs as well. He'll have a big blue star on his resume!
