Seriously-why is there such a big anxiety to get all these FF-type players on our team?

Sure, we have a few weaknesses that may need to be addressed, but nonetheless we have a VERY good team this year, and I am VERY proud of how they've played thus far. Offensively, we've shown to be very dangerous. We are slowly(but surely) improving on D, and had our best game last week, and are getting healthier on this side of the ball.

Really-alot of other good teams in this league can pretty much say they have weaknesses to be addressed as well, it's no different. If we continue to play throughout the rest of the season like we did the first 3 weeks, we'll be fine. I think our players realize now that the season is a marathon, not a wind sprint(so will not likely expect another late season meltdown this year).

I don't worry about it, but if you can get a Roy Williams or Torry Holt then it does nothing but help a team that has realistic Super Bowl aspirations.

Can we win with a "weakness" at No. 2 receiver? Certainly. But add a "strength" at No. 2 receiver, and it would be almost impossible for this team to lose.

Don't worry. The final step towards cementing Jerry Jones legacy is to turn Miles Austin into a formidable #2 WR.

Yeah, as long as the rest of the season goes like the first 3 weeks (as in winning), everything will be fine.

If you can give me any sort of guarantee on that, I'll not mention adding a receiver again.

I don't understand this thread at all.

Moby....heh

I read Booby and Measurables. Visual aides would be nice, I suppose.

I think the author is thinking of Boobie Miles of Perriman HS in Friday Night Lights. But I agree with what he's saying. We can win with the cast of characters we have right now and we don't need to disrupt chemistry by throwing a Tory Holt or Roy Williams into the mix midseason. We did that with Peerless Price a few years ago and it was a disaster.

Please, do not interject with football players when the topic is, obvisously, boobys (sp).

I don't see it as a disaster. Peerless Price never got on the playing field. Was he really bad or was Parcells simply unwilling to even give him a chance.

Our offense is doing pretty good right now. But the ability of Witten & our other TEs/WRs to get open & our running game to be so successful is helped considerably by the coverage which must be rotated to TO. If he goes down, our opponents will focus on Witten & the running game. As yet, no body is afraid of Crayton, Hurd & Miles Austin; hopefully that chances for Austin & Felix might soon also become a factor in the passing game.

So what if TO gets hurt? Wouldn't you guys want a Roy Williams to fill in the void for the time being?

There is nothing wrong with getting better at WR. Just because we have a great receiver in TO doesn't mean we should be happy with the status quo. Haven't we forgotten what happened to Irvin when he got hurt?

If we have the chance to upgrade our #2 receiver spot than by all means we shouldn't just make excuses. If not I'm still satisfied in what we have.
