You Blind Henson supporters just won't stop.
This is how the QB rotation for the game will shape up on Thursday

1. Bledsoe starts and plays 1.5-2 quarters
2. Romo comes in either in the 2nd or 3rd and plays into the 4th quarter.
3. Henson, IF he is lucky, plays one quarter.

I have nothing against Henson or alot of his supporters, I hope he does well and becomes great. But you Blind supporters - give it a freakin' rest. The same guys who were insisting and screaming that he become the starter last year (and predicting he would start this year) now are acting like they were part of the 'just give him time to develop' crew. Many of you ABSOLUTELY weren't part of that pragmatic crew and have changed your tune. You know who you are.

Where as a few, like me, the PRAGMATIC Henson supporters, have said that he shouldn't see the field for at least 2-3 years because he hasn't played any football in 3 years and only played two seasons of college. And because of this, up until the last 3-4 days, when the BLIND Henson supporters FINALLY realized Henson has NO CHANCE of seeing the field this year or probably even next, they had called people like me Henson HATERS.

Well - Which are you?

Reveal your true self:

1. A BLIND Henson Supporter
2. A PRAGMATIC Henson Supporter
3. A Henson Hater

Put me down for #2, like I have been since he was signed as a PROJECT QB with potential but no gurantees.

Goshan,

I'm none of the above. I'm a guy who believes that Henson has ability and has been completely mishandled by "The Wizard" Parcells. Call me a blind supporter if you will, but I think their handling of Henson is terrible and I think if we had had another head coach, and a different approach to Henson, he would be starting to display the potential that he has. My 2 cents.

#2 for me, definitely!!

But frankly I don't know that there are many blind Henson supporters who really think he should be #2 or he hasn't been given a fair shake. That is the frustrating part of this debate, because if you support Henson you are liable to get branded as one who says he should be #2.

What I have never understood were the glowing reorts last year in camp in the early camp reports and early pre-season games (ie., Raider game). Every report from the media and the fans was glowing.
Then I saw him for the first time in the Chiefs pre-season game and I was like..."huh? I want Henson to be the man, but he needs some work".

That experience taught me not to blindly rely on fan's reports from practice.

I support him, and unlike some on here, I see patience as a major virtue.

See the bolded part of your post. I find that those people to be the most humorously hateful fans Dallas has ever seen.

I love the tune changing as well ...

It's difficult to give an opinion when you really haven't seen much of the guy. The fact that he's wearing a star on his helmet earns my support for him. With that being said, I'm very neutral at this point. Him being placed as a third stringer doesn't really indicate much to me. Sometimes these things motivate people to work a lot harder. The fact that no other veteran was brought in, indicates that there is something reasonably acceptable going on behind the scenes.

I'm a Cowboy supporter.....

I want them all to be All-Pros.

I don't see why I can't "blindly" support all three QBs.

why did we spend a 3rd rounder on a project qb though? there are plenty that go undrafted. according to this board pedigree doesnt matter so im kind of stumped here.

I've explained my view on this before, last year, but it has continued this pre-season, so I'll restate.

1. You start Henson on Thanksgiving day, because he played well in Baltimore, and you give him one half and jerk him. This was when we were still in the football game (I don't remember the score now, but we were either tied or ahead). Tell me what that does for his development?

2. You play musical chairs at the backup position, demoting him to #3 after the Thanksgiving game, when you didn't even let him finish what he started. Tell me what that does for his development? All of this knowing that the backup won't ever see the field because you are going to play ancient Vinny when it is apparent to the whole world that we don't have a shot at the playoffs.

3. You take a guy who was a blue chip QB prospect from High School through College and you decide to rebuild his throwing motion this off-season.

All of this when it is quite apparent that some very good QB's didn't have conventional release points. Can you even say Drew Bledsoe on this one? How about Bernie Kosar? How about a lot of others as well.

4. After you rebuild his throwing motion you complain that he isnt comfortable in the pocket. How about the idea that he would have been working on other parts of his game if he hadn't been asked to rebuild his throwing motion? Now, instead of learning the game and throwing instinctively, he is having to think about a new throwing motion while learning the game.

5. In general, and I don't know how ANY OBJECTIVE PERSON CAN DENY THIS, Parcells has not supported the guy in a public way.

As I said last year, and I know it won't do any good to repeat it this year either, you can say that I don't know as much as Parcells, Henson was off playing baseball for 3 years, etc, etc, etc. But I'm not alone in my views, and it isn't just non football people who have expressed it. Troy Aikman has expressed views very similar to these about the situation, and I think he knows a little something about playing QB.

you guys want to know the real reason henson is getting jerked around. hes scared to take a hit. thats right, i said it. the guy is nervous in the pocket and just being on the field makes him nervous. baseball has "pussified" him and its something that might not ever be fixable, parcells sees it as clearly as all of us and i feel sorry for henson because neither sport wants him now.

I was skeptical from Day 1 on a kid that chose baseball over football. Spent 3 yeras ultimately failing at Baseball. A QB THAT HAD STARTED 8 FOOTBALL GAMES DATING BACK TO 1997!

There were many here at this time last year using pedigree, Prototype, Franchise QB, start him posters. They complained about it all season right up to when he had Turkey shoved down his grill on national TV.

We brought Bledsoe in and Romo outplaying Henson. This is starting to add up to the fact that its no given "Henson is the future".

Im still on the let him develope crew. I never got out of that one either. The second we got DB, I was positive that Henson wasn't to start this year. Bledsoe should start. Romo is servicable, Henson needs to learn alot more. All the people calling for Romo to start need to stop. Future in the NFL, yes. Future as a starter, doubtful. Career backup.

Turkey shoved down his grill? Give me a break. Tverde came in and didn't do squat either that day. We were lucky to pull it out. You know and I know that Parcells was looking for an excuse to pull him that day, period.

parcells was embarassed just like i was. im sitting there with a bears fan whose laughing at our nervous qb, henson was making the bears defense look like they were the ravens. vinny had to come in and play through an injury to save henson from that kind of humilation.

Blind fans are indeed good fans but they aren't very smart. And its funny how many of the so-called 'blind' fans weren't quite so 'blind' when Carter or Hutch was the QB.

And I think that all regular posters here that say they are Cowboy fans are Cowboy fans....the argument that they aren't is BS.

The issue at hand is there are three types of Cowboy fans regarding Henson:

1. Blind Supporters
2. Pragmatic Supporters
3. Haters

Now many of the #1s have moved to #2s the last few days in desperation. Other #1s are blaming Parcells for mismanagement and having something against DH.

The people who haven't wavered -- even if they are #1s or #3s -- I respect even though it seems silly and illogical to me personally.

UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE.

FREAKING UNBELIEVABLE?

Put me down as a blind Henson worshipper so convinced he was the future I dreamed he could walk in last year and slough off three years of absence from football.

Also count me in the 'pragmatic' camp by the end of LAST preseason when it was clear my goals for him were unrealistic. Not that makes me any smarter, better, or more/less faithful than someone who came to that conclusion five freaking minutes ago.

And do add me to the list of those larfing my arse off that there is now a three label division for fans...a step up (or down) from the usual hater/homer dichotomy.

But let's break the stereotyping down a bit more, why don't we?

Blind Supporters....Totally Blind (will eagerly sniff DH's jock til Judgment Day), Partially Blind (are willing to admit DH may fall a few yards short of Marino as a passer..but will get five more rings than Dan did), and Legally Blind (refuse to see that Bledsoe and Romo even exist).

Pragmatic Supporters.....those who expect greatness but not quite yet, those who expect greatness the second Bill retires, and those who expect greatness can be nurtured running a scout team.

Haters....Ultimate Haters (those who hate DH worse than Bin Laden), Extreme Haters (those who hate DH worse than TO), Wussy Haters (those who only hate DH as much as these threads).
