I saw this. Let the hype begin. He was second to Jake Slaughter, etc. Maybe he is the second coming of Zack Martin. That's not the point. 3 of the last 1st round picks on the OL is basically ignoring the rest of the roster. If the Cowboys think they just need to get 5 first round picks on the OL they will never win anything.
Furthermore, This really upsets the rest of the draft. Are they going to ignore WR this year like they did with the RB spot last year? How did that work out? And They also need a RB. What round do the chase a RB? Will they even draft a RB?
OL is a need, but they have bigger needs and they should address those first. IMO, Booker will make the Cowboys only marginally better. The problem with the OL is the two tackles. Hoffman was serviceable at RG for now. But look at their RBs, WRs, DTs, DEs, LBs, CBs. Between injuries and lack of talent, these other positions are much greater needs than OG. Wasting a pick on an OG in the first round only makes it harder to address their real needs.
And one more point. If they do not come out of this draft with a WR, then the likelihood of Jerry hitting the panic button to stop the criticism of his draft goes way up and in response he will trade away good draft capital to get a WR.
