They opened up the phone lines for callers to call in.

One fan, possibly a Cowboys fan wondered how the Giants would attack the Cowboys secondary. He even stated that everyone member of the Cowboys secondary was very good.

CONVERSATION

Boomer Esiason: who gives up more yards in the Air, the Giants or the Cowboys?

Boomer Esiason: Have you ever seen Roy Williams try to cover?

Caller: Roy Williams' Achillies Heal was Jeremy Shockey and he wasn't playing.

Boomer Esiason: You are not losing much with Kevin Boss playing.

Cart: Yeah, you are not losing much but maybe attitude and possibly blocking. I like this kid Boss, he can play.

Boomer Esiason: The Cowboys should be favored, they are the #1 seed, but the Giants are playing well.

Boomer Esiason: Brandon Jacobs should be able to run better than he did last week when he was going up against a quicker Tampa Bay Defense.

Listening to these guys in New York, one would think that Ahmad Bradshaw is an All-Pro.

well, i'm sure the Giants will still try to take advantage of that matchup despite Shockey being out.

Now they are breaking down all the defenses of the the remaining Playoff Teams.

Boomer is actually saying that Dallas has the worst Defense of all the remaining Playoff Teams.

is that far from the truth? We're 9th in the league and we thought we'd be better.

Do you actually think the Giants defense is better than ours?

Listen, I know statistically all of the teams may rank higher but your Stats are based on your opponents and I do believe that 3 out of 4 teams in the NFC East made the Playffs and two of them are now in the 2nd Round.

I do not believe the Cowboys have the worst defense of the remaining teams. Especially if you look at the NFC Teams.

I think there are too many times that our pass rush is suspect. I think we all hold our collective breaths when a pass goes in the air. Our defense is good but i've been disappointed in the run defense lately. Also, it surprises me how many times we leave guys wide open in the middle of the field. We've seen too much of Jacques Reeves this year. Hopefully that changes on Sunday. Well, the poor tackling that has lead to our run d slipping. Roy vs whoever is playing TE Sunday concerns me. To answer your question, I think they may have a bit better pass rush, not but much. They have as man secondary issues than we do. They've played better down the stretch and we haven't so I have concerns. We haven't seen our team play well since the Green Bay game. I honestly feel if we win this game, we're going to Glendale.

They are smaller and quicker than our defense. That's not to say we're slow but they are very fast. Smaller LB's and smaller DL.

It's kind of hard to tell anyway because we run a 3-4 and they run a 4-3.

Tampa Bay has a "quicker" d then us? Really.....

I think the Tampa defense is quicker but I also think they get pushed around by bigger Olines. As for the comment of Boss not being a drop off I think Shockey is a more talented player and I think he is one of the vocal leaders on offense so yes it is a drop off.

One thing is for sure, Roy Williams needs to have his best game of the past 2 years. We'd better not get beat by a spare TE.

I'm not going to single out one player. I expect the defense to go out and perform as an entire unit including Roy and get the job done.

So you actually think we have as many issues in the Secondary as the Giants do? Corey Webster had a decent game against the Bucs, and Joey Galloway was banged up and Jeff Garcia isn't excatly known for going vertical. Besides that, he has been lit up constantly.

Yes, the Dallas defense has been leaky, especially the run defense.

Our Secondary is much better than the Giants' secondary.

Yes, they can get pressure with their Rush Ends.

Besides, didn't we put up 45 points on this guys? Even on The Fan, they were discussing Romo's absolutely ridiculous stats against the Giants in two games.

Boss is going to be a very good TE. He is very similar to Jason Witten. Big, strong, and can catch. He isn't as polished receiving as Witten, but the guy can play this game and is going to get better. He (like Witten) is a TE that has all the TE tools. Not like Shockey, Crumpler, Gates, and Gonzalez; very pass oriented and lacked in any real ability to run block. (though Shockey improved in that area quite abit of late)

Without question, you will see Boss used to attack Williams. Lets just hope the Cowboys know its coming.

Tampa is smaller and faster. Dallas is bigger and stronger. After every game Jacobs plays against the Cowboys, he ends up injured.

Jacob's game is to punch defenses in the mouth, but he can't take it in return. The Cowboys punch back on defense and play him very physically and he has trouble with that.

Boomer says have you see Roy cover anyone, has he watched Sam Madison and Aaron Ross try to cover anyone?, We put up over 70 points in the two games this year.
