Sorry but Texas gave it away with the play of Jamaal Charles and all those pre-snap penalties.

You don't think Oklahoma was not killing themselves on ST's?

OU had more penalities/yard than Texas did. OU was killing me on ST coverage. Texas had a short field most of the game.

Totally agree. Sooners fans can breathe a sigh of relief because this had more to do with Texas beating themselves rather than the Sooners winning it.

Sooners mvp of this game? That's clearly a no-brainer:

Jamaal Charles
balonga..

Sam Bradford goes 21/32 for 244 yards, 3 TD's and 0 INT's..

DeMarco Murray goes for 128 yards, Malcolm Kelly and Juaquin Iglesis both go for 100 yards, Gresham gets 2 TDs..

as far as Charless' fumble, that was a great play by the OU linebacker, Lofton.. If anything, OU shot ourselves in the foot with penalties..

OU was the better team today, plain and simple..

Nobody wants to hear about those stats after a loss. Better to come here and excuse why OU won because Charles made a horrible fumble.

I get it now.

IMO Mack is a lousy coach. Pretty good recruiter, but that's about it.

Mack should give Vince Young at least half the money he got in that last contract extension. If Vince hadn't gone to UT, coach Macky Mack would be nothing.

Sad to see Texas loss, especially the way they did. I'm not puffing the goods. Texas again didn't protect the ball and gave up silly penalties. Special Teams is horrible this year. However, they lost fair and square.

Fortunatly, they did cover.

Pick a good five Sir. I'll be interested in reading your thoughts.

Good luck the rest of the way Sooner.

:)

yup, i agree with the assesment that texas didnt loose the game and OU didnt win the game. Jamaal charles lost the game for texas. playin and simple, both turnovers were his fault. i dont care what yall say about colt, he played a HELL of a game, he got cheap shots on him and bounced back and had his team in position to tie or win the game even though his RB is ********.

ps. i agree 100%, limas sweed is so freaking overrated, its like he regressed from the last two years to this year, its really sad. but its wrong to say he wasnt good at one point. anyone remember the Texas- Ohio State game? he had the game winning catch! but he sucks now

Maybe that has more to do with the crappy coaches Mack brown keeps for his O-coordinator. Greg Davis is a down right pathetic coordinator but he will always be there because he is Mack's best buddy

Why the hell didn't that Texas guy let the punt roll? What a freakin' MORONIC mistake.

That's freakin' junior high stuff there.

The Texas team isn't very well coached AT ALL. Dumb mistakes, numerous pre-snap penalties, their "Super star" RB dropping passes and fumbling, their big WR unable to make a big play when their team needs him to, etc...

Texas has the edge in talent, but OU has the edge in intelligence and coaching.

You sure talk a lot of noise to be a domer, Texas sucks this year and would still kill Notre Dame.

You're full of crap. It was posters HERE that had him rated that high. Posters HERE talking about drafting him with cleveland's pick.

I can remember Silverbear being one of them.

But thanks for your normal moronic drivel.
Find one by me big man. Stop flapping your gums about other teams when yours is the worst in D:1. Too bad we can't hear you talk, I bet you sound just like Charlie Brown's teacher.

LMAO!

What the hell does that have to do with today's game?

And beating Notre Dame isn't exactly a ringing endorsement these days, Chico.

Appalachian St could probably beat ND by 40 points this season.

Find one by me big man.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!

Did I EVER accuse YOU of saying Sweed was a first round talent?

Hey, your team got DESTROYED today. Take it like a man and get over it. Don't take your frustrations out on me.

Too bad we can't hear you talk, I bet you sound just like Charlie Brown's teacher

Which would be more then we could say for you, Chico.

i agree with you 100%, mack is a great motivator and recruiter, but to succeed he needs good coordinators. our D coach, whose name escapes me right now (greg chiano??) is really good. The only reason greg davis is still there is vince young and some computers (remember greg was about to be fired before UT made the Rose bowl in 2004 and they beat Michigan, if it wasnt for that, hed be a gonner)

im so sick of Greg Davis......im so sick of Jamal Charles.......im so sick of the RBs coach......im so sick of Limas Sweed

Greg Davis........how can UT own the OU secondary in the first half by using their TEs, especially Finley, and then in the second half, completely abandon Finley and the TEs.

Jamal Charles.......if today was his only fumble or even his second fumble of the year, I wouldnt be mad. However, he is a fumbling machine. He is Tiki Barber before Tom Coughlin. Sure he is a game breaker, but with him it goes both ways. He can break it open with a TD or he can break it open with a costly fumble that goes against his team. He totally suffers from Fumblitis. Also, his blocking leaves a lot to be desired, and he is barely average as a receiver out of the backfield.

RBs coach............Charles isnt alone. Benson and Young also suffered from fumblitis. Melton did as well. I dont know what technique this guy is teaching these kids......but it isnt working. maybe he should be teaching the UT RBs the same technique that Coughlin taught Tiki. Then our RBs wouldnt suffer from that dreaded Fumblitis disease.

Limas Sweed.....so he is supposed to be the big play WR.....the down field threat to stretch the defenses? that makes me laugh. He is so soft. He doesnt run all out on plays that even he is involved in. He has stone hands....I swear he drops so many catchable balls. It disgusts me that he is tarnishing Roy's number. I hope that overrated POS leaves for the 2008 draft......I hope Dallas stays miles away from him too.

OU won the game fair and square. UT had their chances but blew it. I wouldn't say OU dominated the game, as some are saying. Other than that 1 long run by Murray, the OU rushing attack was subpar. It was an entertaining game. As a UT fan, I am bitter that UT lost......but at least they put up a great fight.....I for sure assumed OU would dominate and win by at least 17. On a good note, Palmer has really improved as a CB. Last year I hated the guy, but he has gotten so much better. Sure he isn't lockdown, but he isn't afraid to get in there and try to make plays.

that #3 for OU, the CB looks like a very nice prospect.

Of course you can't give OU props for winning. You are like the rest in this thread.

It's like the Bonghorns HAVE to have an EXCUSE as to why the Sooners won this game.

"We would have won if only......."

Pathetic to say the least.

ok, then did you go to the barthroom when jamaal charles fumbled inside the five before he ran into the endzone without the ball? or when he tipped the ball to a defender in bailey's field goal range? its pretty obvious that those two plays were two huge swings in momentum and in a close game it was the difference. its not an excuse, its fact.
