First off I have to say the draft site's have been absolutely horrible with rankings so far. So many players are being slept on and so many players that dont deserve the attention are still in the spot light.

1st- DE Dewuane Smoot, Illinois- Still my top realistic 1st round target. We need pass rush and Smoot has everything u want at RDE in an attacking 4-3.

2nd- LB Jarrad Davis, Florida- just like Smoot, Davis is perfect for our defense as he already plays the MIKE in a 4-2-5 defensive scheme at Florida. He is a little undersized at 6'1" 230lbs but hes still a top 50 talent.

3rd- SS Nate Gerry, Nebraska-
I was letting media paint him as a try hard kind of player. It's not true. He has the overall athleticism to make it in the league and great size (6'2" 220lbs). He has great instincts (11 interceptions in 2 years) and hits like a Mac Truck. Best used close to the LOS but he can cover and play single high.

4th- WR Fred Ross, Mississippi State- I'm sure many have their own pet cat for WR this year but let's get Prescott his main weapon and target he had at Mississippi State. You know the player he broke SEC records with. He has good size at 6'2" 205lbs and has deceptive speed as a downfield weapon. He may be one of if not the best route runner in the draft and good hands.

6th- DE Keionta Davis, Chattanooga- My favorite small school prospect. Davis has been a handful in the FCS with 21.5 sacks,32.5 tackles for a loss,13 passes defended, & 5 forced fumbles so far. Perfect size at 6'4" 260lbs and Did most of his work from the weakside.

7th- CB Greg Mabin, Iowa- the player opposite of desmond King. He gets completely over looked despite having 8 PBU last year and 107 tackles combined the last 2 seasons. Good overall athlete and has the size(6'1" 200lbs) to play on the outside.

7th- TE Wyatt Houston, Utah State- good blocker, good route runner, with good hands. Was looking like he could emerge as a breakout star last season but never happened. He still has skill set and great size at 6'5" 245lbs. Could develop into a #3 or #2 TE.

Your positional choices will be popular.
For me 230 lbs. is too lite for a Mike in the NFL
I wouldn't mind a another DT to finish out the Dline

I haven't gotten into 17 draft but I like most your choices

If Gerry is that kind of ballhawking big safety, I like it a lot.

I want us to get away from the 80s/90s style run thumping SS who can't cover to save his life.

He hits much harder then his size leads u on to but he can play either MIKE or WILL. Any size he adds would greatly help as well. He does have some trouble shedding bigger blockers but so does Jaylon Smith.

Yea if I wanted to go all premium pick towards defense then I would take a Nosetackle with our 4th since I believe both McClain and Irving are both free agents and we would only have Thornton at 1tech. Maybe Lowell Lotulelei out of Utah. He doesn't have the pass rush ability of his older brother on the Panthers but he still a good run stopper and block eater. Surprisingly their are a ton of good DT in this year's draft as well.

Yea he hits like a thumper but can cover and has range almost as good as a Free Safety. Hopefully he falls to us but I have faith that we should be able to walk away with an upgrade at safety period. Their are so many of them eligible and many are seniors anyways.

I like this pick. Davis' size won't be an issue - he doesn't play small at all. I really like the other Gator LB too, but Anzalone will likely stay for his senior season, after all of the injuries.

Yea his size might actually be good for us in that their is chatter that he wont go in the 1st soley because he is 15 pounds lighter and couple inches shorter then most would like. They are comparing his situation to Denzel Perrmans in that first round talent but size dropped to the 2nd. Perryman was still beefier then Davis coming out so maybe he makes to our pick.
