Yes, you read that correctly. Joey Bosa is holding out of TC because of a dispute on his rookie contract. Apparently he wants ALL of his bonus up front rather than two payments, the first of which is said to be much larger than the second.

I thought the CBA deal was supposed to end these kind of problems. Isn't his contact pre determined by his draft slot?

He was their # 1 pick, give him all of it up front and get him in camp now, anything else is just stupid.
File away how he acted here, but get him in camp.

gotta agree with this. the two issues holding it up appear to be the offset language and the payouts of the bonuses. If you pick a guy #3, you can't let this be the issue keeping him out of camp.

Apparently this is standard business for the Chargers and they don't want to set a precedent by changing what they do for one guy. I wonder how the rest of the league treats this offset language.
