Dear Boston and the rest of your crappy state:
Stop electing Ted Kennedy and John Kerry if you want any credibility.

Boston media is notoriously *****y, I wouldn't get too wrapped up in it. Hell, even people who live in boston hate the media there.

I'm not from Boston, and I'm not a democrat... but both those men have done great service to the country.

The Red Sox haver never had the highest payroll in baseball not even in 2004. The Yankees have been in first by $50+ mil for a couple of decades now. that being said the Sox have been 2 or 3 with the Mets that whole time.

The Yankees payroll in 1990 was 20 million.

How funny. A Boston paper talking about egos, when its home team is coached by Bellicheat. Irony?

I always say that rooting for the Red Sox is like rooting for Pepsi. Sure, it's not as big as Coca-Cola, but they are far more powerful than any of the competing soda brands and thus for the BoSox faithful to cry foul makes them the biggest hypocrites in pro sport. I'm sure teams like the Royals, Pirates and Twins don't feel too sorry for the BoSox and their outragous payroll.

Not to mention the 2004 Red Sox roster was almost exclusively players that they either signed as a free agent or made a trade for, while the Yankees had its stable of players they brought up through the farm system like Bernie Williams, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettite, Jorge Posada, Derek Jeter, Robinson Cano, etc.

The reality is that BoSox fans were just downright jealous that the Yankees were continually making the right, free agent grab or trade and if not for them finally winning a WS, they would wish that the team would make the same deals that the Yankees make.

Jim Reeves needs to worry about how the pats are going to cheat in 2008-09 season.

Maybe it's worth reiterating that this article was written by someone who lives and works in Fort Worth, Texas.

It's syndicated and the Boston paper picked it up.

Looks like it needs to be iterated again.

"What he has been able to do throughout his career is out-athletic smaller defensive backs, using his speed, his size and his strength to overpower them. As he ages, that approach will become more and more difficult."

To some degree, this is true.
