I am going to get roasted for saying this, but I think the game is meaningless.

I kind of agree. Maybe Wade will rest some of our stars so they don't get hurt in what will probably be a physical game.

Quarterback Tony Romo is playing like an MVP, although a full step below Pats signal-caller Tom Brady

I understand that Brady has done a lot more in his career than Romo, but how can you make this claim about this year?
Very easily:

QB Rating:
Brady: 128.7
Romo: 112.9

Completion %:
Brady: 74.1%
Romo: 59.5%

TD Passes:
Brady: 3.2/game
Romo: 2.75/game

INT%
Brady: 1.3%
Romo: 2.5%

Romo leads in YPA, but I don't see how it's unreasonable to say Romo is a step behind Brady so far this year. He didn't exactly insult Romo either, saying he's playing like an MVP.

Hope the Boys focus and beat the Bills tonight and then next week destroy the Pats. I live in New England so all that I hear is how the Patriots are the greatest thing since slice bread. Please Cowboys, destroy the cheats!

Players promise ...

They aren't looking ahead. But we are. It is now Cowboys Week in New England, which isn't quite as big a deal as Patriots Week is in Dallas. And our own Todd Archer was in Foxboro yesterday, and says that the home team's gonna need to play mistake-free ball to have a chance on Sunday.

In the Boston Herald, my old partner John Tomase provides a look-ahead to the showdown in Big D and gives the people up there a view of just how big this game is in the Lone Star State. And he has DeSoto's Ellis Hobbs on record paying respect to the Cowboys.

“I know that what we did today is not going to get it done next week,” said the Pats cornerback. “We have to go in there ready to play, because they’re obviously going to be ready.”

Meanwhile in the Boston Globe, the great Bob Ryan says that if you think the Bills are going to win tonight "you should lose your right to drive, vote and perhaps even procreate." A bit harsh? Yes, but not off the mark.

It is a game for pride, to make a statement. Will it have an outcome on our season, I dont think so.

I have said it many times, all the nfc east teams I believe will lose to new england and since it is a non conference game I think it has zero importance on our season.

Now it would be an incredible confidence boost and really make this team believe in themselves and their coaches if we were to win, but not the end of the world if we lose, far far from it.

Losing to buffalo would be 5 times as devastating as losing to new england, because I think there is a pretty good chance the bills will lose to one of the other nfc east teams.

SO I agree 100 percent with your post. That minnesota game is a conference game, since we will be battling for playoff spots with det, gb and the nfc east it is a common opponent and important. THen of course the tough part of the season starts with three straight divisional games.
No, I think this is all valid.

It's just that you rarely get to see two teams with this kind of potential square off at this point of the season, so people are getting jacked up.

I'll say this, New England losing to us will bother the northeast more. They've got that 16-0 thing on the brain.
