Which isn't really true. They had horrible attendance figures for decades until they started winning. Most Red Sox fans couldn't name more than 5 players on their '86 team that lost to the Mets. And the entire Red Sox vs. Yankees rivalry is a bit of a fallacy since most Yankees fans could've cared less about Boston from the early 80's until the late 90's. Red Sox fans like to say that rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for the house at a casino. In reality, rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for Coca-Cola. And rooting for the Red Sox is like rooting for Pepsi.......they are just about one in the same.

If there's ever a poseur fanbase in the world of sports, it's in the city of Boston between the Pats and the BoSox. And if the Celtics start winning, soon we'll be hearing about this legion of Celtics fans that stuck with the team over the years.

I'd really like to see us win this one, but I sort of look at this like the 1980 US Hockey team. They played the Russians in an exhibition and got blown out, but it gave them just the right taste of what they need to do to beat them the next time around. Hopefully the Cowboys can make the Super Bowl and take over the Pats in the same way the US beat Russia in the 1980 Winter Olympics.

YAKUZA

Thats not accurate, pats have sold out every game since '94 in fact since kraft bought the team they have only missed playoffs 3x's

And as far as the 86 ws most red sox fans could tell you the play by play of game 6 and as far as people caring more about the sox than pats. when pats and sox are on head to head pats tv ratings blow the sox ratings out of the water

This is beautiful.

Even when they were saying good things about the cowboys we had some members here still crying about them not talking about the cowboys enough.

Hey...maybe we pull this game out vs the pats. Maybe we get the media all over us again saying all kinds of positive things.

I bet there will still be at least one or two posters complaining about the media.

The way I see it...we ALL should be happy that the media is talking about the Cowboys on a regular basis again. Whether it is talking bad or good about them.

That just tells me the Cowboys are relevant again.

We did not hear much media talk about the Cowboys during Dave Campo's days as head coach.

Love the Cowboys or Hate the Cowboys...either way we are relevant again in the national media or they would not even bother talking about us. If they even have to put forward so much effort to rag on us it tells me we are not as bad as they are trying to make us out to be, because if we were they would not bother talking about us.

Wow, I think Nors mentioned this, but on 103.3 they're playing the clips of Zolak and some other idiot trashing us on Boston TV. Let's see, so far:

-- Wade Phillips is a "clown" for showing emotion after that FG was good last weekend. They say it was "like Pete Carroll plus 60 lbs". Also called him "Barry Switzer with a brain." Say Belichick and Parcells would never act like that.

r.
He has one of the highest winning percentages of any college football coach in history,[1] and is one of only two head coaches to win both a college football national championship and a Super Bowl.[2]

so he is saying we have a coach that wins championships and he has a brain. I want coaches that take us to superbowls :lombardi: :lombardi:
