are excellent.Oline and Dline are beasts.Remember thats where the game is won in the trenches and I was thoroughly impressed by the pressure we got, finally after all these years some pressure from the front.

We all know both first unit lines are stout, the problem is depth. That's what im looking for in the preseason.Which backups are going to assert themselves and be playmakers. Alot of these backups are going to be needed in the special teams department, and from what i saw last night we need serious help. 20 yards on 4 punts returns is atrocious.

Our depth on the DL is pretty good, IMO.

On our OL, esp inside, is where we need someone to step up in terms of depth.

I actually think we've got good depth on our DL, plus we've also got a lot of versatility there. Our OL is another matter. Best backup OG we got is Joe Berger; our best backup OT appears to be Doug Free. I don't like Proctor as Gurode's backup but we got nobody else. Have real concerns that Marten could become a legit OG but OT sure isn't his strength. Also, this is McQuistan's 4th year so he needs show more then he has so far. The problem in all 3 cases is we've got no legit replacement for any of them. Not impressed with the other 3 OL we signed.

Hoping Cowboys keep careful eye on the waiver wire during the next few weeks; there's bound to be a few OL players who get cut who would be better then what we have as backups--particularly behind Gurode.

I agree our depth is better then we think. Even the Oline looked pretty decent once they settled down, you have to expect they are going to give up some plays, after all that is why they are backups. Plus they dont get near the reps together that the starters get.

Also, keep in mind that barring some catastrophe, all the backups would never be playing together in a real game.

This is his third year and lets remember he was a 7th round draft pick.

We didn't use any of our top three punt returners, if that's any consolation.
