W-L is the bottom-line stat, but since 2008, there have been 37 teams that finished the season ranked among the top 12 in pass rating differential, turnover differential, and points-per-drive differential. All 37 teams made the playoffs or won at least 10 games.

2012 GB Sea SF Atl Was NE Hou Cin Bal Chi
2011 GB NE Hou SF Det Bal Atl
2010 GB NE Pit Bal Chi Atl Phi TB
2009 GB NO SD Bal Min Phi NE
2008 Bal Ind SD NYG Ten

After the disaster in the Superdome, the defense dropped 5 spots from 18th to 23rd in pass rating, and 10 spots from 17th to 27th in points allowed per drive, which is even lower than last year's final ranking.

That is interesting. I guess the playoffs are still a possibility, but what does that mean? The organization is inept.

Feels like those numbers keep slipping each week, maybe just recently due to injuries and a tough mini stretch playing the Saints and Lions with poor performances by defense in both. Wondering if the schedule lightening up a little bit will lead to better stats and get us back into that top 12 category again. Would not surprise me at all though to see us break this trend either if we do manage to qualify for it. Seems so weird to have such a leaky defense and such a great turnover differential.

How many drives did we have during the NO game? I notice our offensive points per drive rank actually went up. I assume that this is because other teams in front of us scored less then 17.
