If Bowles becomes DC, what kind of defense will he run? I know he can coach the secondary, but can he design a scheme to pressure the QB?

Another thought I have about him. I have to admit that he scares me a little bit. If he does really well he will be gone shortly to be a head coach, if he sucks then well you get the picture. I wish we could find someone like Le Beau or Jim Johnson who can coach defense very well yet they have no interest in becoming a HC so they can stay here long term. If Bowles is all that we will lose him very shortly.

Bowles will run an aggressive 3-4 defense I'm sure... However I will say don't count out Nolan.

I wouldn't mind Nolan at all. I think he is a good DC and much more likely to stay around. Bowles scares me too much because if he is good then he will be promoted somewhere else. I just want a GOOD coaching staff that has a little longevity.

The NFL network is now reporting that the Dolphins are retaining Sparrano so Nolan probably won't be available.

Too bad... I like his style as a defensive coordinator.
