Bowman can still ball

 Not sure about this, at all. I've not seen anything credible to suggest we are even interested THIS YEAR. Once he became a free agent, couple tweets suggested we SHOULD be interested coz we lost Hitchen and word is we did in a waiver claim before he was awarded to the Raiders. That's it.......so I seriously doubt we've made an offer. In fact, I think it safe to say we are interested or he would have already been signed.

My guess, if we get hit by injury bug doing the regular season and he's still available, then maybe.
I haven’t seen any interest but I’d have some interest
I know he’s a two down player but he’s good in run support, smart enough to run the D if Lee is out and some good vet leadership
They may be thinking taking a LB at 19 and not needing him and I could see that
You don’t want your 1st rnd pick in the bench and he may still be out there after the draft if a guy isn’t there at 19

this dude is better right now, than any LB we have on the roster. Notice I said, "right now?" Because Jaylon may prove to be a beast..or whomever we draft. At this point, its a no brainer to go get Bowman. At least kick the tires.

I don’t think he’s better than Lee but he is a very good player
Yes and no. It depends on your perspective. Do you want a part time great LB like Lee(can't stay healthy)...or a guy that's just good and stays on the field for the full schedule? Give me the guy that's steady and available for all 16 games ANYDAY. Give me Bowman. He's IS better than Lee if you look at it from an availability stand point and what that would mean for the team.

Bowman is still a good player but not near the player he was in San Francisco prior to his injury. The stats point that out.

Yes..stats..yada yada yada..I get it. But what we are missing here is,does he fit into the mix and make the team better..ie the LB UNIT? The answer is yes!!! Yes,he was injured...but when looking at our stable of LB's..he is better than who we have. HE JUST IS. He brings a physicality we haven't had since Ro McClain. We need that element to our defense.

Sean Lee..GOD BLESS THE GUY..but its clear we cant count on him to stay on the field. The team deserves better. As good as he is,what good is he if we don't have him playing come November?

Bowman on a 1 year prove it deal makes sense..especially if we draft a guy like Jewell or LVE....it gives the youngsters time to learn and play with a great vet in the rotation. Its a win win.

Over the last 4 seasons Lee has missed 24 games and Bowman has missed 29. Both missed a full season plus games in two others. I would agree with you earlier in their careers, but Bowman has not exactly been injury free either of late.

That said, he and Lee played side by side for 2 years at Penn State and were an incredible combo in the defense that led that team to an 11-2 record their last year (2009). I would love to see them side by side again,

If Bowman was anything special he wouldn’t still be available. He’s currently looking for his third team. Too many are looking at what he was in SF. We already have an aging LB in Lee I prefer getting younger.

Bowman has missed the better part of two seasons himself
LB is tough on the body but having bowman and Lee gives you insurance
Lee is a master of getting people in the right place and bowman has the experience to also do that

I think you forgot about Sean Lee. But Bowman would instantly upgrade mlb.

Agree..but if we can squeeze a full year out of Bowman providing he's healthy again..do you realize how that makes the team tons better? Lee is perennially hurt and missing large chunks of seasons. Do we really wanna be held hostage by this yet again? Dear Lord man...its like lookin at a tornado coming out the front door, yet hoping it misses the house, there for,you simply ignore the looming danger and don't take shelter. lol..this is how we been handling Lee. Its just nuts! Love the gonads lee has..he is as tough as they come..but at some point the team must come first. ITS THAT TIME.

Id love to pick him up after the draft if we don't pick up two in the first 4 rounds. I think he can easily replace hitchens.

Think fans underestimate how leadership the loses when Lee is out......so for that reason alone, I'd love to see him sign.

no..I didn't forget, Lee is never available for a full 16 game schedule..so I factor that in. I think Bowman is a better fit at MLB than anyone we have..including Lee.

No way is he better than Lee. With Lee off the field last season our D fell apart. You’re stuck in 2013 with Bowman.

It’s leadership and an uncanny ability to get everyone else in the right place
He is a great player, great leader and about as smart as they come
