I know many of you are against this guy but I think he will turn out to be a steal in the draft. Suprisingly many teams are still high on him despite his forty time. Dallas did visit him on his proday but thats all I have read about Dallas being linked to him.

Here is a good article to know some things about Bowman. I personally would like him and think he will be a playmaker for some NFL team.

He produced a ton at OSU, but the ghost of Rashaun Woods hangs over him.

I wouldn't want to count on him being a number one or anything, but I think he can play in this league.

Time will tell, there has been many good NFL recievers who came into the NFL and not drafted in the first round and infact many people even doubted those players when they first came in to the league.

I don't see why people expect and even want us to draft a WR in the first round this year. I see three HUGE reasons why it WON'T happen.

#1.) And this is probally the biggest one. Name one WR in this draft that would have been viewed as a first round pick last year, or the year before last. You will be very hard pressed to do it. Most of the WR's in this years draft are more of high to mid second round WR's that are being mentioned as first round picks because they are the best of a very weak class.

#2.) Neither Jerry Jones or Wade Phillips have ever shown a propensity to draft WR's early in fact they both have shown a propensity to and have stated many times that they do NOT believe in drafting a WR in the first round, the number of WR busts in the first round are WAY to high.

#3.) There is a great depth at WR in the later rounds: Early Ducet, Mario Manningham, Andre Caldwell, Donnie Avery, Eddie Royal, Lavelle Hawkins, Harry Douglas, DJ Hall, Marcus Monk, Adarius Bowman, Adrian Arrington, Mario Urrutia, Todd Blythe, Earl Bennett, Dexter Jackson, and Jordy Nelson.

I wouldn't be against drafting D. Thomas if he was still there @ 28, but I just don't think it's going to happen. If we get a WR in the 1st round, it will be one we traded for. We will not draft one in the 1st. There will still be some pretty good receivers in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Future TE... Not what we need as a first wr option. Maybe late...

Reminds of Anquan Boldin with his 40 time.

40's arent everything...

He wont even play TE because in another article that I read, Bowman said none of the scouts asked if he would be interested in playing TE. Infact all of them said that he could played WR. I also never said Bowman would be a 1st rounder

He's not a future TE. People keep saying this, just because he didn't run a good 40 and has some bulk.

Playing TE takes a totally different mentality than playing WR, and not everyone can do it.

I think he will either live or die in the NFL as a WR, if he dies and tries TE, I don't think he'll be in the league long at all.

I have always been in favor of drafting the guy. I watched him play for a few years and I could not wait tell he was drafted in the hope that we would end up with him. I am all for getting him in the later rounds.

The 40 is just the tip of the iceberg. He ran poor agility tests by offensive lineman standards. 350 lbs. offensive tackles cut faster than him. He displayed hands of stone at the Senior Bowl practices. For a nice little cherry on top, how about being kicked out of college for drug violations. Further, I think hes going to develop just like Mike Williams, and his body is just going to get bigger, stiffer and slower with age.

Did you read the article what so ever? At his pro-day he caught the ball well only dropping 2. So go back to read the article and then you can make comments. He had problems catching because of his eyes mentioned in the article. He also was asked back to play at UNC since his charges was droped but he opted not to return. Bowman is much better than you think.

DRAFT PROSPECT BOWMAN ARRESTED
Posted by Michael David Smith on April 2, 2008, 6:05 p.m.

Former Oklahoma State wide receiver Adarius Bowman, who is expected to be a mid-round draft pick, has been arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana near his hometown of Chattanooga.

The Associated Press reports that Bowman was arrested Tuesday night and released on $500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

This is the second marijuana-related incident for Bowman, who transferred to Oklahoma State after North Carolina dismissed him as a result of a citation for marijuana possession.

In 24 games at Oklahoma State, Bowman finished fourth in school history with 127 receptions and 2,187 yards. Bowman is a good athlete who has all the physical tools to play receiver in the NFL, but this incident will cost him.

Can not say that I love the guy. There are other WRs in this draft I would rather take as developmental types. Drafting a WR in the later rounds means that they must contribute on STs if they are going to stick. A guy with no speed does not serve that purpose well. JMO

Yeah I started this post but now, after hearing the news that he just got arrested I am against drafting him. I was wrong into thinking that he has changed. So everything that I just said before this post, you can disregard that.

He'll be lucky to be a 6th round pick at this point. What an idiot.
