Roquon Smith*, ILB/OLB, Georgia

but he might go top ten

might have trade up to get him

but that leaves us

Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson

Taven Bryan, DT, Florida

Connor Williams, OT, Texas

Bradley Chubb, DE, N.C. State

Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson

Minkah Fitzpatrick, S, Alabama

Da'Ron Payne, DT, Alabama

Harold Landry, DE, Boston College

Joshua Jackson, CB, Iowa

I saw a draft a few days ago that had Smith go #2 to SF behind Josh Rosen.

wow. Roquan Smith is being over hyped. I can see the possibility of him going in the 1st round now, but top 10 or even top 5? Heck no. If he was 6'3" 250 lbs with frame to continue to add muscle while maintaining his speed and agility then maybe. Don't see him being valued as a top 10 player at 6'1" 225 lbs. Hes going to be handled by NFL O linemen if he plays anywhere but WILL in a 4-3 scheme. Maybe play strong safety if hes drafted by a team with a creative defensive coordinator.

have to disagree with you randy

Height: 6-1. Weight: 225

Scouting sources have been raving about Smith this year, and he has been tremendous for Georgia. Smith had a great game against Notre Dame in Week 2 and has been all over the field for the Bulldogs. The fast and instinctive Smith flies around the field making tackles while also showing the ability to play in pass coverage. He has drawn comparisons to the Buccaneers' Lavonte David and the Falcons' Deion Jones.

Lavonte David 6-1 #235

Deion Jones 6-1 #225

I still would take him. I like him a lot.

Both Deion Jones and David went late in the 2nd round. Even Bobby Wagner who is the best current example of a undersized LB turning all pro went 47th overall in his draft. Smith will not be seen as a top 10 talent by actual NFL GM's. This is all media hype because Georgia had an amazing year.

I would go with Minkah Fitzpatrick.

He’s an absolute playmaker and we need that.

Murphy's Law of Cowboys drafts: every player that fans covet will be taken before the team's pick.

From that list............... Landry, Fitzpatrick, Chubb............. and after yesterday's game against Miami, Wilkins. He was a one man wrecking ball against the Canes.

LB Roquon
DT Phillips
S Elliott
CB

That should give us some depth on D.....maybe a 2nd LB.

On O, I want a LT, G, WR, and R

I'd love to get this guy. He and Christian Wilkins would be great fits.

I dont think it's unwarranted to be concerned about R's size at the MLB.
There are exceptions and he might hold up.

Not watching much college ball had one thinking it was a bring back Rolando Mc thread lol

well Bobby Wagner is 6 $245

Lavonte David 6-1 #235

Deion Jones 6-1 #225

the olny thing I worry about is even 6 foot tall - you know how schools always make a player seem bigger - when I was in high school IWS alwys listed at 6-3 when I am 6-1

but god the kid is a beast IMO

2016: Played in all 13 games, making 10 starts...team's leading tackler with 95 total stops..

2017 had 113 tackles

yet people don't want the kid amazing to esp if he is there for the taking

It's the Christmas season so we're all entiled to make our list for Santa. To agree with the OP, I'd have Roquon in the 1st spot on my list to Santa, as well. Just make sure to temper your expectations, because when your Santa has a little elf named 'The Clapper' helping him, we all know that the 'boys 1st round pick will be a TE.
