Just in case someone has not said it yet... Watch Romo's pc:p

I said that it looked like the Cowboys did all they could to give the game to Lions in the first half and there was a reversal of that in the second.

I was so mad that every unit seemed to come out flat. The offensive line couldn't handle the blitz and Romo got destroyed. He mentioned he short armed a bunch of throws instead of forcing them to avoid any INTs.

The Defense allowed two long TD drives, was tackling poorly and taking horrible angles.

Special Teams killed us with the running into the Kicker penalty

There were a couple fumbles we were lucky to get back and if Romo doesn't hit TWill in stride, we go to halftime down at least 17-0.

I was seriously depressed right before half, but after the long TD it was still a winnable game. The start to 2nd half almost sent a brick through the TV.

I thought they were cursed the way they started the 2nd half... Get the pick... sack, sack, and the best FG kicker in the game blows a 41 yarder. Many times just that sequence will sink a team.

I think Gb will blitz their LBs and safeties,Romo should do a better job of identifying the blitzer(s),he has to know that 5 guys cant block 7.

He does, that's what the patented curl move is. He just needs to realize he aint 30 any more.

Just rewatched the game (with a little less emotion :)).

Amazing win but that first half 17-7 score could have easily been worse.

Romo had a very poor first half... Thankfully he was awful low instead of awful high.

The offensive line was as uncharacteristically bad.

Between bad tackling and bad angles, the defense looked very shaky.

Hopefully the team turns things around vs. GB or the Pack will hang one of those 35 point 1st-halves on the Cowboys.
With regards to the offensive line, I think schematically, they had to change some things. Once they did that, it was all good.

thats one thing about the coaching staff that i fear is how long it takes to make adjustments. It shouldnt have taken almost a entire half to figure out their blitzes.

Cowboys win their first playoff game since 2009 and the Negative Nancy's can't think of anything better to focus on than the first half.

Its bad enough that they had a bad first half without you pointing it out while I'm trying to celebrate.

;)

9.85 avg yards to go on 3rd down. Romo did a great job considering the distance.

The team will have to do better than that going forward -- it's playing with house money to expect ANY qb to convert 57% of the time when the yardage required for the 1st down is that great.

I was furious at the boneheaded running into the kicker penalty. The special teams had made that great play, pinning them way back on the 1 yard line and the D held them to a punt -- then all that great play was ruined with that one stupid penalty.

I haven't been so frustrated watching a game since I was a child watching the boys. That wasn't the team we've seen the majority of the year. But they found a way..

On all but one of Romo's 3rd or 4th down attempts, the Cowboys were trailing in the game.

Over the course of the season, the average pass rating on 3rd and 9-10 when trailing in the game was 59.3, and the conversion percentage was 27.5%.

Against the 2014 Lions, it was 39.6 at 21.1%.

And Romo put up a 149.3 at 57.1% yesterday.

Good news - it got better in the second half. :)

Just posted in another thread I was upset over the way we started.

NOT ready. Zero excuse not to be ready for those A gap blitzes, stunts and games. ZERO. And that includes not just picking them up but Romo reading them and he and the receivers being able to counter it. And the coaches should have called better plays on both sides of the ball although more so O than D.

If they start that way in GB it may be very very problematic. Just saying.
