How did the deebo deal work? Brandon Aiyuk? If Jerry had those exact same deals, youd crucify him.

well, they made a draft pick, over drafting a QB...then they got rid of him quickly, realizing they had a better QB on the roster. you make a mistake, move on quickly. why hold on.
Same with deebo. they moved on.
they didn't over pay for Aiyuk and he got an injury. what does that have to do with anything? prior to that he was a top 10 WR in the league.
we paid for CD. I never complained.

they lost to seahawks last year 13-7.....
they were in the superbowl two years before that, going toe to toe wth KC and Mahomes
and in CCG the year before that.

I would say they have done much better than the cowboys.

you want to look at couple of specific picks and players to make case. there is 53 on a roster. their GM does heck of a lot better job putting a roster together than our GM.

Who cares if they have cap space now? That's an indictment of a front office for a team that is trying to be competitive.

The point is that they aren't actually trying to improve .

I disagree with that opinion. I actually think it's a smart way to operate. There really isn't much available right now that would significantly improve their team. It makes sense to start the season, see where they stand at the trade deadline, and then use that cap space to bring in one or more players to fill key needs if necessary. They also have a couple of young, capable quarterbacks, so it's not like they're in an all-in, win-now situation.

That said, you and I just see it differently. Personally, I'd take the 49ers' front office over Dallas's any day. And no, that doesn't mean I want to become a 49ers fan or that I should just because I feel that way. It's simply my opinion.
