BP has built foundation

and the only one of those teams to have prolonged success is the pats. the bears might

But he still did not have to change every player on that team. and the cover 2 is still more or less a 4-3 base isnt it? Already had a good young QB in grossman, Urlacher was there.

He lost Grossman in week 3 last year. He went 11-5 with a mix of Kyle Orton and a bag of peanuts. He and the GM turned over their front 4 from a bunch of lard to Tommie Harris and the like. You don't want to give the guy his props? I sure as heck will.

Foundation? Not much on offense in terms of youth. Defense? Only if guys like Spears, Canty, Ratliff, Carpenter, Watkins, and Burnett come through. Right now, they only have "potential."

falcons went 9-7 in 1995, 7=9 the year before that...

99 was vermeils 3rd year with the rams

The ravens took only two years to win a super bowl, but then quickly fell apart...

Patriots were already started by parcells with a solid foundation, Carrol just couldnt do anything with them

Bears? LOL... had one of the easiest divisions in 05, and smith enherited a stout defense...
yup, plus cowboys went from 5-11, 5-11, 5-11 to PLAYOFFS with bill.

the haters fail to score that one (as it was a mirage like many other "turnarounds").

no team has 99% roster churn in 2 or even 3 years then instant success

And parcells went 10-6 in his first year... he did just as well as smith... who went 5-11 his first year... then 9-7 in year 3...

im not saying he didnt do a good job, he did a great job

but he had much more to work with than BP. he didnt do a whole lot on offesne, he won games with the defense...kyle orton is erroneous. and that is a reallly cake division

count me in on that...Lovie Smith has done an awesome job with that team...right now they are the best team in football...well coached in all areas

we've never even REMOTELY played as well as the Bears of this yr at any time during Parcells tenure

and while the Bears lost in their 1st playoff game last yr, getting that team to the playoffs with Kyle freaking Orton at QB almost all yr is a tremendous accomplishment

Parcells WAS a great coach...unfortunately for us that was 16 yrs ago

I don't think people realize how young this team is...

We might have some vets on offense, but they're hardly old with the exception of bledsoe who is 36, and even marco rivera is only 34.

Owens is 32, Glenn is 32

then the next oldest skilled player we have on offense is patrick crayton at 27.

its a fairly young offense as well as a young defense...

We aren't in a bad spot at all age wise.

We obviously need to draft a receiver, and obviously we need a young qb. We might have our qb, and we might already have our receiver(s)... crayton, hurd, austin, rector...

and as for offensive line what do you call mcquistan and proctor...
