Will the stress of the game allow BP to finish this year. Today reactions to coaches on the sideline is a good sign BP is starting to doubt why this team isn't winning more. He does not seem to have good grasp of this team. Although this team has improved on a talent level. The mental mistakes that cost you football games still remain.

...leave anytime earlier than his contract. The team is very promising now. He does need to check his emotions though. Especially ones which don't contribute to a win.

bill parcells and sean payton are destroying what could be a trip to the superbowl with their stupid *** playcalling. we have a championship defense and to watch them bust their *** for nothing is making me sick.

the surprising thing is, the lack of "feel" for the game.

Anyone who has even watched football from their den KNOWS in a game like this that sooner or later a team with a number one offense is going to start making plays. That said, when you have a chance to put them away, you have to do it. Going for the FG and the overall conservative play calling was plain dumb.

And if the FG kicker was an all pro, fine...but there is no such thing as a chip shot with this guy.

cmon a championship defense dont collapse when the game is on the line. I understand they are a good group now but they wont be great until the can finish dominating games. It dont mean much if you stop them all game long, and then cant when you need to the most ;)

I kept thinking Alexander was going to bust a long TD run.

The defense shut down Alexander, one of the top weapons in the NFL.

The defense played more than well enough to win the game.

Anytime you give up a mere 13 points, and lose, the finger need not be pointed at the defense.

You give up 13 points a game on average, and you'll end up 13-3 or 12-4.

Blame it on the playcalling, blame it on Cortez, blame it on the offense, but don't blame this one on the defense. They didn't throw that last interception.

In hindsight it's easy to say what we should have done.
We should have thrown more. We should have been more daring on offense.
Yada, yada, yada.

But the game was close. The field was wet and so was the ball. And Bledsoe didn't seem to be connecting all day.

So should we have risked letting him through it just to "open it up" and then let the game get away from us early?

Yes, I'm angry that we didn't at least try to get into the endzone, at least try a play action pass on second down when we recovered the fumble inside the nine. And given the fact that we missed an EASY field goal reenforces the decision/desire to go for it.

But this is all hindsight musing, which is perfect in its analysis.

The Cowboys are still a work in progress. The defense did what it had to do until the end. The offense just didn't deliver. But we still have a unit that is still geling. I think we'll be better by the end of the year. Hopefully we won't be too far out of the playoff picture.

Ya just KNEW something had to happen....In a game like this, the approach has to be "We held them in check but sooner or later....so go for the kill and let's get the hell out of here"

Parcells is missing two very important elements for playing with the approach we used today: Bill Belichick and Lawrence Taylor.

AND...you'd think he would have learned something from the Commander loss.

I understand your point sarge, but if you understood mine, we win the game if we stop them late,I am aware of the fact that law of avg are against them there. But it's becoming a trend. I am just a fan that wants that to change. Like I said before I dont blame them totally, good they are championship they are not yet
