Looking back on the draft years of Big Bill P... it appears it only produce one star player that being D. Ware. The players who are still here turned out to be average players or a bust.

This thread is useless without a list. If you are going to make the statement, at least do the work too.

Wasn't Witten one of BP's drafts (a 3rd rounder)?

Jay Ratliff?

Also does BP not get any credit for UDFAs Tony Romo and Miles Austin?

I was always impressed with how Bill had an eye for guys who could play in the league for years and years. Think Nate Jones. He saw roles for guys, as opposed to just seeing athletes.

Really? Jason Witten, Terrence Newman, Marion Barber, and Chris Canty, were just average to you?

With Ware and Witten, that's potentially 2 HOF players . . . .

You need to re-look at some of his picks, as he took a bunch of guys who ended up being very good--and several pro-Bowlers.

He should have....he had some very early picks to roll with his 1st couple of seasons.
His 2006 draft really stunk in up though.

He also made room for many UDFA who outperformed drafted players. Romo. Austin.

Drafting isn't just about picking good players. It is about admitting you were wrong on them and getting rid of them ASAP to make room for others.

Above average player, who got a big pay day with the Giants. Not bad for a fourth round pick.

Just shocked me how bad he did with O Lineman and most of them from big schools.
