BR: Atlanta Falcons vs. Dallas Cowboys Betting Odds, Analysis, NFL Pick
The road has not been kind to the Atlanta Falcons over the last couple of seasons, as they've gone just 4-12 straight up, 6-10 against the spread on it, but they rallied to win their first road contest of this season last week against the Giants. The Falcons get a chance at another road success when they visit the Tony Romo-less Dallas CowboysSunday afternoon in Arlington.
Point spread: The Falcons opened as 0-point favorites; the total was 44.5 early in the week, according to sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. (Line updates and matchup report)
NFL pick, via Odds Shark computer: 27.0-26.1 Cowboys
Why the Falcons can cover the spread
Atlanta is off to a 2-0 start both SU and ATS under new head coach Dan Quinn, after rallying from a 10-point, fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Giants in New Jersey Sunday 24-20.
The Falcons led 10-3 late in the first half and trailed 20-10 through three quarters, but quarterback Matt Ryan connected with Leonard Hankerson on a 10-yard scoring pass with 12 minutes left, then later hit Julio Jones for a 37-yard hookup that set up Devonta Freeman's two-yard scoring plunge with less than two minutes to go, propelling Atlanta to the victory.
