Church Ruled Out For Remainder of Week 8

Early in the fourth quarter, ESPN's Todd Archer confirmed Church would not return due to an arm injury.

Church had three tackles before leaving the game.

Church Has Provided Stability For Cowboys Defense

Heading in to Week 8, Church had 42 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble.

Church broke out for the Cowboys during the 2013 season en route to 135 total tackles, and he's been a stabilizing force in the secondary ever since. His ability to step up into the box and make plays against the run is a crucial aspect of the defense.

Church has dealt with a couple of serious injuries in his career. He suffered a season-ending Achilles tear in the third game of the 2012 campaign. Then late last year, his season came to a premature end after suffering a broken arm.

Dallas' secondary will likely see a noticeable drop-off regardless of how the coaching staff tries to replace Church.
