We will find out soon enough. Until then it's speculation but if this team can't run the ball then the criticism will begin.

I don't think you need a great running back
I think you need a great running game
Doesn't matter if it's done mostly by one guy or three
I do think we have enough talent at the position IF they can all stay healthy
That doesn't mean I wouldn't want a complete RB who can run great, block well and be a weapon out of the backfield
Just don't think it ranks very high in the list of things you need to win
I wanted Langford in the draft because I felt he was as complete as you can get later in the draft, and I suspect if the right guy is there in the next draft they will take him. But I do think a committee approach can work. As long as you have all that committee available each week

I think once they come out of training camp someone will show they are the lead RB (someone who will take the vast majority of the snaps)

I went back and just looked at the games last year; most not all. It will be difficult to replace Murray. I'm not certain anyone will run the ball better although I still say we will have an effective run game.

Well said my friend. But just remember we might still get some help before the regular season starts. Just saying.

This wont be an issue until one of our injury prone running backs goes out with an ailment.

If I was to say I'm not concerned that would be a lie. I'm hopeful Randle can step up. But going from a seldom used backup to starter is not like changing your socks. McFadden has a ton of talent but can't stay healthy and is looking at the end of his career. Murray could have been MVP of the league last year and the way they set the offense up led to Romo and everybody else's success. To go away from that formula would be highly dangerous. But again need to take the wait and see approach here.

Which could have been said last year at this time as well.

Murray was fantastic last year, but let's not pretend that he wasn't injury prone prior to that - and even last year he could have missed games with an injury if not for 2 things:
1) We really needed the push for the playoffs and
2) He played through an injury that would normally have sidelined him because it was a contract year.

Yes but McFadden has missed a lot more time than Murray had at this point last year. In fact 2014 was the only season in his career he's been available for 16 games. He's missed 26% of the games. Murray had missed 14% of his games prior to the start of the 2014 season.

I hate the running back by committee approach.we need a feature running back that will get most of the carries.

I think its a dumb notion but I'm nobody. People here say that the Patriots use a runningback by committee. Yet the failed to realize that their a passing team and they dont depend on the run. We'll see what happens during the season. When Williams, Dmac, get injured and they have to depend on Randle a lot of people here will be singing a different tune.

I didn't mention Dunbar because I think he's pretty useless in our scheme. They either should use him more or just replace him.
