The Dallas Cowboys made the splash of the second round of the 2016 NFL draft when they selected former Fighting Irish linebacker Jaylon Smith Friday night. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is not averse to taking risks, and selecting Smith at the top of the second round is one of the riskiest picks he's made since he bought the team.
The Cowboys weren't quite as exciting in the third round, as they picked former Cornhusker Maliek Collins. Collins is a great fit for defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli's defense. He gets upfield quickly and can invigorate the defense with some splash plays against the run and pass.
The only problem with the Cowboys' draft thus far is that they haven't addressed their biggest need at defensive end. Luckily for Dallas, there are a plethora of quality pass-rushers still on the board.
On the third day of the draft, you should expect the Cowboys to select a quarterback, at least one defensive end and players who will make an impact on special teams.
Now, let's take a look at the top 100 prospects left in the draft and whom the Cowboys may pick on Day 3 of the NFL draft.
