DeMarco Murray had a relatively pedestrian first two games for the Dallas Cowboys, but the monster first half he posted against the St. Louis Rams has made him an asset to target immediately in fantasy leagues.

Prior to Week 3, Murray had rushed for just 111 yards on 32 carries and added 88 yards on 13 catches. He did not total a touchdown.

But his performance against the Rams has been superb, and the game is not even over yet. He's already totaled 177 rush yards and a touchdown on 25 carries plus three catches for 28 yards. With a quarter left to play, Murray has the potential to near the 200-yard mark for the game.

Owners of Murray in fantasy leagues have a plethora of options with the third-year back out of Oklahoma. Owners with holes on their rosters could look to trade him while his value his high and could get some quality talent back in return. Murray could feasibly fetch a low-end No. 1 or high-end No. 2 receiver in a trade.

Those who own Murray could also just leave him active and reap the benefits of what looks to be a breakout season. Coupling his health with the Cowboys' commitment to running in 2013, Murray is poised for 1,200-plus yards on the ground.

He's a fantasy asset this season.
