"He just be talkin’, man. It’s stupid. It’s really stupid," Bryant told reporters. "He’s just not about that life. He’s not. He’s not about that life—not at all. It’s to the point where I might just leave him alone. But after this week, I’ve got to put the film out—how I done him. After that, I’ll leave him alone."
Bryant has already started the calling-out process, retweeting a route where he burned Norman (but was missed by Dak Prescott):
Norman and Bryant jawed back and forth throughout their Thanksgiving matchup, nearly coming to blows as they were walking off the field. Norman wound up throwing a towel in Bryant's direction as the two men were being separated.
Bryant, who was listed as questionable with a back injury, finished with 72 yards on five receptions. Norman made four tackles and had one pass defensed. Prescott threw in Norman's direction five times, completing three for 32 yards, per Pro Football Focus.
"I was just wearing [Josh Norman's] *** out the whole night," Bryant told reporters. "I enjoyed it. Washington needs to get their money back."
Washington signed Norman to a five-year, $75 million contract this offseason that made him the highest-paid cornerback in football. He's responded with a mostly stellar first season, recording 43 tackles and an interception while shutting down some of the NFL's best receivers.
However, Norman took some criticism earlier this season for not shadowing Antonio Brown in a September matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers and once again got into a war of words with New York Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr. Bryant put it in no uncertain terms after the game that Norman has made another divisional enemy.
"I think he's extremely soft. All talk," Bryant told reporters. "He was holding the whole night...You supposed to be a lockdown corner, and you can't even play man. ... He was scared."
Norman, for his part, discussed the matter with reporters and described Bryant's phrasing that might draw the ire of the league office:
It's clear Norman has a way of getting under the skin of his opponents. When Washington's winning, things tend to be silent on the opposing sideline. But when guys like Bryant get one up on Norman and take home the victory, the Pro Bowler will have to expect some clapping back in his direction.
