08:09 AM ET 10.25 | Where it goes from here, we don't know, but the Patriots are in due diligence mode as it relates to Terrell Owens. [Owens] will reportedly run routes and participate in agility drills in front of media and NFL teams on Tuesday in California. Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio said in a conference call on Monday that the Patriots will evaluate Owens, just as they would any free agent holding workouts during the season. "I think he's no different than a lot of the other players that have been on the street," said Caserio. "We'll evaluate those players when they're available. We'll look at our situation, and then just make the determination, if that's something that makes sense for us."

I'd love to see them sign TO and cut #85. :laugh1:

That could happen. Ocho Cinco has been an invisible man there. I think he would be better off on another team with a simplistic offense anyway. I think either TO or Ocho Cinco will be a Titan by the end of the season.

If they cut him we could sign him and change his name to Receptor Numero Cinco...

I wonder if TO is going to show he can still play or not and get another shot...i've been interested in this since i heard he blew that knee out.

The guy is a physical freak and I'm hopeful he's able to get himself back on the field.

TO is 38 years old, didn't know he was that old. I doubt anyone will sign him at that age.

Although considering the performance of Ochocinco maybe he would be better fit for the Pats. A total and complete bust. He just cannot learn the offense. He has always been a free spirit on the field -- not going to sit well long term with the Pats. Must have driven Carson Palmer nuts. They are all about "team", so for me Chad Ochocinco will be gone soon enough. Good riddance. And I don't see a fit either for TO, for the same reasons. But I really don't know how much of a team guy he really is.

On Google -- did a search -- guess he is doing a workout in California today and no NFL team reps are there. That sounds weird, you would think someone would want him regardless of his age.

Maybe Chad will end up in Oakland :laugh2:

Seriously I thought Chad would be a nice addition to the Pats. We really don't have anyone that can go down field and catch the long ball right now. No one!! That is why Brady just LOVED Moss -- sorry, but Moss was great, great, great. He would look like he was moving slow, until there he was just waiting for the ball. Moss to me was flat out great.

We don't have one single receiver that can take the long ball from Brady, except a young kid named Price -- but Belichick is not playing him.

Sigh, even a slow TO is looking better than Chad right now!!

Serious question.....if he was so great what happened last year for them to get rid of him?

Honestly I don't know. Most likely he is who he is. Not much media attention on it. Probably, he can only be "good" so long. Just his nature, and Belichick takes zero crap. I don't know a lot about TO, but I think he was the same kind of guy. But with Moss, something happened that no one is talking about.

But Moss and being a receiver -- to me, the guy was really, really good. Brady never had a guy like him before, and their connection was pretty strong. Something happened, I do not know what.

You would watch Moss and he looked like he was just lumbering down the field, but then there he was, under the ball. Amazing guy. Probably one of the best that played.

Oh well, at least we have some short little guy that can catch and get open, and a couple of really good TE's. That will have to do for now. But down field, no one for Brady. Maybe next year in the draft.

I agree with poster who said he was GREAT (with Brady)

But I think the Pats chose their words wisely and just wouldnt say, "we had enough of his BS" otherwise...*

:laugh2:

No teams attended Terrell Owens' workout in Calabasas, Calif., on Tuesday, but the 37-year-old receiver said he was confident that he showed enough that teams will be interested.

The free-agent receiver is unsigned after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament and having surgery in early April. He participated in some drills and caught passes Tuesday in the workout that was televised on ESPN and the NFL Network. He did not run the 40-yard dash.

LOL....I'm just now getting that one :laugh2:

Would anyone be surprised. If there is one thing the Patriots do better then anyone it's keeping doors open and evaluating all options.
