The Dallas Cowboys will enter the NFL playoffs with a ton of momentum on their side, but it may be somewhat curtailed if defensive tackle Henry Melton can't play.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Melton's leg injury could potentially keep him out for the entire postseason:

Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com adds that the 28-year-old's ailment is more specifically related to his knee:

Dallas' defense was expected to be a major Achilles' heel entering the season, but it has held up despite a lack of star power. Melton has been a big reason for that with five sacks during his first season as a member of the Cowboys.

The Cowboys are set to host the Detroit Lions in an NFC Wild Card clash Sunday, and there is no question that the Detroit offense will receive a huge boost if Melton can't go.
