Witten Comments on Injuries

Sunday, Sept. 20

"It's just some bumps and bruises. Typical football stuff. I'll be fine," said Witten after the game, per Bart Hubbuch of the New York Daily Post.

He left briefly in the first half but would later return to finish the game. Witten caught seven receptions for 56 yards in the game.

The 33-year-old has been one of the NFL's most durable players, appearing in 191 out of a possible 192 games from 2003-14. He's also been as productive as any tight end during that span, recording at least 60 catches and 700 yards in each of the last 11 seasons.

Now with the Cowboys dealing with injuries to Dez Bryant in addition to Tony Romo, the team will be dependent on its veteran leader more than ever.
