Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman La'el Collins suffered a right foot injury during Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.

It is unclear when he'll return to the field.

Continue for updates.

Collins Ruled Out for Remainder of Week 3

Sunday, Sept. 25

Collins suffered the injury late in the second quarter. The Cowboys later determined he would not return to the contest, according to sideline reporter Kristi Scales.

Collins, a potential first-round pick during the early stages of last year's draft process, ended up going undrafted because of off-field question marks. He's proved to be worth the investment the Cowboys made after signing him as a free agent, though, developing into a stabilizing force up front.

The 23-year-old LSU product has been durable throughout his career. The only notable issue that arose during his rookie campaign was an ankle injury that cost him one game last year.

If Collins misses extended time, Ronald Leary will likely get the first crack at filling the void in the starting lineup. Jared Smith could also see some action if further issues crop up at the guard spots while Collins is out.

Collins has been a terrific value signing for the Cowboys. He should slide back into the lineup once he's back to full strength.
