ESPN's Adam Schefter and Todd Archer have the news:
McClain, the No. 8 pick in the 2010 draft, enjoyed a solid 2014 in his first year with the Dallas Cowboys, recording 87 combined tackles, two interceptions and 1.0 sack in 13 games.

However, this news changes everything.
McClain may only be facing a fine, but teams are going to be far more hesitant to sign him to a contract now that he's one step closer to a significant suspension.
Radio host Jeff Cavanaugh put it simply:
McClain, who suffered multiple head injuries down the stretch of the 2014 season, likely lost himself some potential suitors. He will still attract some interest after a good season with a rejuvenated Dallas defense, but he's operating on very thin ice.
