Romo, Bryant and Witten helped spark the Cowboys to a huge 38-27 win over the Eagles, and their stat lines were pure fantasy football goodness:
Romo's day marked the second straight game during which he had three touchdown passes.
He threw for a trio of scores against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 4 as well. It was his sixth such game this season. The 265 yards pushed Romo over the 3,000-yard mark for the fourth consecutive season and seventh time in his career.
The 34-year-old also has 28 touchdown passes for the year. According to ESPN Stats & Info, fantasy owners couldn't find a more consistent touchdown producer at quarterback if they tried:
Bryant notched his first 100-yard receiving game since racking up 158 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 9. The three touchdown passes he caught set a career high.
How good was Bryant? Sunday Night Football gave him the game ball:
On the season, he now has 79 receptions for 1,148 yards and 13 touchdowns.
While Witten didn't find the end zone, most fantasy owners would gladly take his seven catches for 69 yards from the tight end spot. The output was a major improvement from what Witten had been producing of late. ESPN's Todd Archer compares the numbers:
On the season, Witten now has 53 catches for 574 yards.
Next week, the Cowboys play host to a tough Indianapolis Colts team. Coming into Week 15, the Colts were ranked just 22nd in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game. The Colts did a solid job holding the Houston Texans' passing game to 152 yards, no touchdowns and one interception on Sunday.
However, containing a quarterback combination of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tom Savage is vastly different from stifling Romo.
Based on the numbers, it appears Romo and his band of weapons figure to have some opportunities to put up solid numbers again next week.
