Rainer Sabin of The Dallas Morning News reported the details of Romo's status:
Romo finished the game having thrown for 191 yards and two touchdowns on 15-of-19 passing in a losing effort against the Packers.
Romo's health had been an issue earlier in the season after a back contusion knocked him out of action briefly in Week 8 and caused him to miss Week 9's loss to Arizona.
A short week didn't help Dallas when the Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Cowboys on Thanksgiving to take sole possession of first place in the NFC East.
However, the Cowboys rebounded, winning their final four games, capturing the division title and riding the momentum to a Wild Card Round victory over Detroit.
Now, Romo will have a chance to rest and recover as the Cowboys try to retool and make another run at the Super Bowl.
