I really thought Brad didn't do too bad on Sunday. I was expecting him to look like he didn't deserve to be on the field. He surprised me. If the wrs wouldn't have dropped about 4 of his throws he would have had a day all of us would feel good about.

Brad will not make many mistakes. He does not have the big arm and is not going to carry a team but he will not do the things that will get you beat.

He did pretty good but we sure do not want him in the game for long periods of time......

I actually think our backup QB is better than most. I'm trying to think of backups around the league who I would have chosen over Brad Johnson, and I can't come up with any.

I agree. I wonder how Romo's thumb really is? I don't think he is going to say it's not 100% because we all know how he feels. He wants to play no matter what. I was a little confused about the gloves he was wearing in Sunday's game. Was it for a little extra padding for the thumb to keep from hurting it further or was it for grip on a wet ball? I have never seen him wear them before.

Romo has used gloves in the rain before. Parcells gave him a pretty good ribbing over it.

Romo trained with those gloves in TC so he'd be prepared in rainy games but doubt we were really prepared for all the rain we got. Read that we practiced in our inside facilities during the week before the game even though we suspposedly knew it was likely to be a wet field. Would have thought we should have had at least 1 practice session outside (if there was a rainy day in Dallas). Having said that Romo practiced with those gloves, I do believe last Sunday was actually the first time he used them certainly this season.

BTW: Based on Brees' "tape analysis" seems like Proctor's inability to keep the pocket clean (which Gurode does very well when he's in there) was a factor in Romo's play/offenses failures.

I have a feeling they just wanted to see how well Romo could throw with gloves on, in case he is faced in another "rain" game in the playoffs.
