Now that we have some room under the cap, how would you guys feel about trading for Albert? He was a good LT for a few years, has struggled staying healthy, but if the cost is a 2013 2nd + a TBD 2014 pick, I'd look into.

He could be a day 1 starter at RT, RG or LG depending on where we want him to play.

Definitely worth is at those picks but you're looking at a guy that is gonna demand a hefty pay day.

Eventhough Volmer's deal shakes things up for RT's, Albert views himself as a LT and has outright says he plans on remaining there even if the Chiefs use the #1 overall pick on a LT.

No ! Can't afford to get too cute. And dont throw the money we just saved away on another high priced vet. Get Spencer done, maybe Moore if we can work the $ out. Then have a really solid draft - OL/DL and Safety...

I'm of the opinion that every year we don't make considerable improvements, we are moving further away from a superbowl. As I said before, as long as Tony Romo is playing at his current level, we *can* be that team, that gets hot and wins a Super Bowl. Right now, we won't be due to the talent on the O-line and safety. Trading a 2nd+ a 2014 pick to help sure up the o-line is a no brainer imo. Just a matter of, is what's being reported really what KC wants.

No Albert isn't worth a 2nd and a big payday. I'd prefer to play Parnell and use the draft pick on an OG and then we still have an extra $8M/yr (expected cost for decent LT) to spend on other parts of the team.

No way we'll need all the cap room we can get when Dez, Lee and Carter are up for a new contracts.

Why Trade. We just landed the money for Moore, he's a Free Agent Guard.

Moore is a 32 (33 before training camp) year old guard. Albert is a 28 year old tackle. To me, one is a cheap option, the other is a luxary option. And we may not be able to afford the luxary option, but we aren't talking about the same caliber of player.

Albert does not want to be a right tackle and is looking to get paid. This is a truly atrocious idea. Second round picks are pure cap gold. You can't trade them for a non dominant player.

Only tackle he told chiefs no about moving too guard

Because it would've effected his market value going into, what is typically an NFL player's biggest pay day (first non rookie contract).

I doubt it would be an issue going foward, however, I would play him at RT. Maybe move him to guard if he slows down a bit over the next couple of seasons.
