I think he has stepped it up. Hits people and is a force in the middle.

Loved how he went after McNab!

Probably the only guy to show up before we pulled that win out in Philly. He had like 9 tackles in the 1st half. He was all over the place, and has been all year. Breaking up passes, making big tackles. The kid always had the tools, and like a few on here, I said that if he studied some film and got the mental aspect, he'd be golden. Brady James is the perfect player to use when applying Parcells theory that a player has 3 years to prove he is capable of playing.

I was one of the ones who said he couldn't hack it after his play the last couple of years, but the guy has come around and I really like the way he has stepped up, seems like a different player.

"Who's up next!?"

A year later than most of us expected, but it certainly seems as though he's arrived.

Last year he had the bulldozing tackles, but the PA would mess him up. He just was not good at making the right reads. I think he may also be better suited playing MLB in the 3-4, rather than WLB in the 4-3, arguably one of the hardest positions in football.

He was the only member of the front 7 that showed up at all last night. He seems to be getting better every week.

I'm so proud of him. I never expected him to come from nowhere to become not just a very good linebacker, but a leader on this team.

I was saying on another board that IMO Bradie doesn't even look like the same player -- if he didn't wear 56 I would actually think it was a different person. Not that he's bulked up or looks different physically, but that he carries himself differently and has a different look in his face. Before, I remember him getting all pumped up about making routine plays. Now, he acts like a stonefaced, coldblooded killer out there. It's like he now expects to make plays... And when he does, he's calmly gets ready for the next one. Just like in the pic Etonicas posted.

It's really a beautiful thing. :)

My only complaint of James is that I would like to see him make more plays at line of scrimmage or before it. Other than that....the guy looks primed to be another LB who excelled on a Parcells team.

Got it from the Image Zone, courtesy of WoodysGirl. I thought it deserved a spot in here.

James was very good last night on a second look at the game. The reason he couldn't make stops closer to the line was the DL was dominated and the OL were able to get on the LBs quickly. On a lot of his tackles he had to shed the OG to make the tackle. If he hadn't played, the game would have been a lot worse.

For the most part Dat, Shanle and Fujita were no-shows in the running game except for a couple of big plays.

Ware was mostly decent and Burnett was decent when he was in there.

On the DL, Glover had a partcularly bad game but noone really played well.

James appears to be "crossing the line" as BP likes to say. The guy showed some serious talent in college and now it appears something finally clicked for him in the pros. Keep it up Bradie.

Now we just need to hope Burnett can improve and work his way into a starting role. The guy has all the tools, he just needs to bring it together. Injuries haven't helped him any either.....

I LOVE Burnett's athleticism. He moves like a CB at nearly 250 pounds. Once he learns what's going on he's going to be very, very good in this defense.

As soon as he grabs the starting position, Fujita might as well get used to the sidelines, because he won't let go of the starting spot.

Have you guys really focused on him when he's in there? He probably has more athletic ability than Derrick Johnson, who everyone was raving about. He just moves so quickly and effortlessly. I'm hoping within the next couple-three weeks he's able to start getting some real, significant playing time. And when he comes on the blitz, if the teams pay all the attention to Ware, Burnett will be on the QB like fleas on a camel. He looks shot out of a cannon when he blitzes.

It's exciting to think what he could do as a starter opposite Ware... and what Ware could do with teams worried about the other side as well.

If we can just add one more catalytic LB via this years first round (assuming someone worth it is there), we can have the most destructive, playmaking set of linebackers in the NFL.

Demarcus Ware
Ahmad Brooks?
Bradie James
Kevin Burnett

It might not be Brooks, but if Parcells takes a LB in round 1, you can bet he'll be a good one. Just like RB's... Parcells knows his linebackers.

With the DL rotation we have... that set of linebackers would wreak havoc on opposing offenses!

Couldn't agree more, we just need to give him some time. He will get there.

He's improved but he still doesn't shed blocks fast enough. We have some real concerns in our run D, and it's starts with our ILBs. Also our ILB should be getting much more push between the DE and OLB on all off tackle runs. Ware is a doing a good job of stretching out the runs to his side, but several teams teams have simple cut inside of him to open field. That is the ILB. I've seen this on both sides.

He needs to get more disruptive on the TE off the line when we shift our line backers over. Not sure which game it was, but he let a TE come off the line untouched more than one time.

Much has been made of the idea that a guard vs ILB is a one sided match but that isn't really the case. Good linebackers can move latterally quickly while a gaurd in motion simply can't. Problem is they have to know which side to go to, and James seems still a bit slow in reading this. I wish he would play a little more instinctively in this regard. Even the wrong decision is better than a slow decision.

James has played surprisingly well thus far. I was expecting him to be a real weakness. Glad to see him coming around.
