I LOVE Burnett's athleticism. He moves like a CB at nearly 250 pounds. Once he learns what's going on he's going to be very, very good in this defense.

As soon as he grabs the starting position, Fujita might as well get used to the sidelines, because he won't let go of the starting spot.

Have you guys really focused on him when he's in there? He probably has more athletic ability than Derrick Johnson, who everyone was raving about. He just moves so quickly and effortlessly. I'm hoping within the next couple-three weeks he's able to start getting some real, significant playing time. And when he comes on the blitz, if the teams pay all the attention to Ware, Burnett will be on the QB like fleas on a camel. He looks shot out of a cannon when he blitzes.

It's exciting to think what he could do as a starter opposite Ware... and what Ware could do with teams worried about the other side as well.

If we can just add one more catalytic LB via this years first round (assuming someone worth it is there), we can have the most destructive, playmaking set of linebackers in the NFL.

Demarcus Ware
Ahmad Brooks?
Bradie James
Kevin Burnett

It might not be Brooks, but if Parcells takes a LB in round 1, you can bet he'll be a good one. Just like RB's... Parcells knows his linebackers.

With the DL rotation we have... that set of linebackers would wreak havoc on opposing offenses!

Actually, I would take Kai Parham over Brooks right now. Living in the DC area, I've had the privilege of watching the 2 of them for the past 3 years, and Parham seems to be the more instinctive of the 2. Brooks needs to be playing the OLB position to completely take advantage of his rare skills, while Parham has shown (especially this year) that he do it all (stop the run & pass AND rush the passer) from ANYWHERE ON THE FIELD.

But, anyway you look at it, you couldn't go wrong with either of them.

I knew James would excell in a TOUGH 3-4...
He seemed to be the only one wanting to win in the first half...
But its time to change & tweak the D...

We were pushed around, alot & by a freakin off the street FA C...

Glover needs to step back & let Fergy start at NT...
Ellis should do the same with Canty starting...

Thats starting with your power players & coming back with pass rushing players on nickle/dime downs...

I agree about Burnett, he is a WEAPON and needs more PT....Inside or out, he needs to get reps as dat proved he isn't able to take the punishnment anymore...

Did everyone see Parcells talking to Trotter after the game?

THATS who I would love playing beside James inside...
Ware, Trotter, James & Burnett with a true FS and the young guys on the Dline....Were talking DOOMSDAY!

90% of any sport is confidence. BJ is playing that this year as opposed to other years of him being unsure. He's in a position that suits him and working with Dat day in and day out is helping. Other than Henry, Tnew and Key, BJ is the only other guy that I see every week play with a swagger. BP has also allowed BJ to play more like Trotter too. He lines up over the center many times and plays that stand up NT BP once mentioned. It suits his physical nature.

That's not a bad idea. One of my want in this past free agency was Ed Hartwell to go inside next to Bradie. He's in the same mold as Trotter and would've been a monster against the run. IMO, his absence is one of the reasons for the ravens lack of D this year.

Trotter would be a nice complement to James. Or someone like Brooks or Pharam like mentioned above.

The thing is... in this 3-4, the linebackers are so vital that I can see Parcells wanting to add one more dominating type player to who we already have. A vet like Trotter might be preferrable to Parcells, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him go LB in round 1.

Not to be disrespectful, but this is the worst idea possible. The reason our LB core has been so good, is because Dat/Shanle can cover their butts off. Both Bradie and Trotter are very good in the run game, but not as well in the passing game. If you put both of those guys side by side, you basically render one of them useless to there strength. I like the versitility that Dat/Shanle bring to the table and like the fact even more that BP is thinking of moving Burnett inside as well. I know BJ has done a good job in the passing game this year, but I don't want to see both of these guys backpedaling side by side too often. Dat, Shanle, and Burnett will do. Plus they are younger.

I really wanted us to sign Trotter in the off-season as I'm on record saying here multiple times, but I have to agree that he is redundant with BJ. We couldn't have them both on the field at the same time. I do however thing Trotter is an upgrade over James at this point in time.

this guy is really showing some skills..

he's big, seems to be in the right places the past few weeks..

he's a hard hitter, great personality.............. when he leveled mcnabb to lead roy into the endzone........ that makes him my newest buddy.:)

what do yall think of his play?

He is a player...a lot of peeps hosed Bradie because our previous mediocrity in drafting and his 2 year developmental stage but now he is showing his worth even BP states Bradie now knows what it takes to be a player.

Ironic how James has his biggest game of the year when our D-line has it's worse game of the year.

"Who's up next!?"

A year later than most of us expected, but it certainly seems as though he's arrived.
Your right its great to see him finally arrive and is becoming a great player. BTW thanks for the photo, i just set it as my background page for my computer. Love how McFlabb's on the floor laid out, LOL
