Really pedestrian 3 Cone.

After blowing away the 40, not only he, but Davenport didnt do well in the 3 Cone.

Chubb did a 7.34 and Davenport did a 7.20

Taco for example ran a 7.17

What was the 10sec split?

That 3 come tells me he lacks short area quickness which should be an elite pass rushers bread and butter

I noticed that, pretty dicey for a dude that's supposed to be a top 10 pick.

Bosa was under 7 seconds.

Pedestrian 3 cone and 10 second split.

This reminds me of a nerd looking at a supermodel and going 3/10 WNB. Pointed elbows. Jaw too angular.

With Chubb, I am sticking with his tape and the explosiveness he showed in his other workouts. He's still a stud IMO.

He should still be effective. Takk's was awful last year and still had 6 sacks. But Takk is a pure wide gap rusher. From a top 10 pick you want more versatility. Chubb and Davenport may not be as effective in typical 7 gaps in the the NFL as you would want in a high end pick

3 cone is a more important drill for a pass rusher
I fully understand what the perception is.

Look at 2016.

The best 3 cones that got the nerds excited? Emmanuel Ogbah, Shilique Calhoun, Jordan Jenkins and Yannick Ngakoue.

This is wrong because it can't be boiled down to a number, since people apparently need numbers to tell them what to think.

Explosiveness sure as hell can. A 10'1" broad jump and 36" vertical are elite, both top 3 among D linemen.

Ogbah's and Jenkins 3 cone were terrible

So drills can never be an indicator?

We shouldn't discuss a prospects poor performance in a particular drill?

Why do we even have a forum?

Ogbah- 44th percentile 3 cone among DEs.

Calhoun - 87th percentile 3 cone

Jenkins - 23rd percentile 3 cone

Ngakuwe -30th percentile 3 cone

Try again.

Let's see - should people be concerned about a number a guy gets running around three cones in a complete non-football situation, or look at his actual game play that showed him to be a consistent disruptor and pass rushing threat.

I know how I look at it.
