The Giants made a number of changes this week with the intention of improving their rush defense.
One way to relieve pressure on the struggling defense is to control the ball more. And it looks like running back Ahmad Bradshaw will be back to help in that effort.
Bradshaw returned to practice Friday and says he's ready to play despite being listed as questionable on the injury report.
"My ankle feels 10 times better than two days ago," Bradshaw said.
The Giants never signed an extra running back this week despite knowing DJ Ware is out of the lineup. That's a strong indication the Giants expect Bradshaw to play against Dallas. With Jacobs struggling, Bradshaw provides much-needed big play potential.
"His legs are getting punished, just because I'm not there to help him through practice all week," Bradshaw said. "And then Sunday his legs are almost dead."
Bradshaw's return adds a bit of juice to a Giants-Cowboys game we're surprised hasn't received more hype.
It's a fascinating chance for Dallas to begin exorcising their December demons while knocking out the bullies of the division.
There is oddly more pressure on the Cowboys Sunday. This is not a very good Giants team; a team with title aspirations would find a way to beat them.
