Brady GOAT?

I still think you have to give the nod to Dan Marino or Peyton Manning on a true quarterbacking standpoint.

I don't see a whole lot separating Staubach, Young, Manning (the Greater), and Brady at this point.

If the pats win it all, can brady be considered the greatest of all time?

I think you can have that conversation now regardless if he wins it this year.

In my day it;s Montana. If Brady wins another, he may be number 1 in my eyes.

Montana used to be my number one, but Brady has pretty much done it with nobodies.

NEVER compare Era's!!

Exactly. Different rules. Different mindset regarding offensive philosophies. Imagine Staubach or Bradshaw with these kinds of rules.

Not in my book. And I doubt that I am in the minority.

There would be plenty who would make the claim. Not sure that HE would though.

If he wins it both Brady and Belichick become the greatest of all time at their respective spots.

No. Cheaters who are responsible for defiling the integrity of the game can never be considered the greatest of all time.

The thing that facinated me about Montana is that he never had a turnover in any of superbowls he played in. That's 4 games with no turnovers against the the 2nd best team in the league.

Much of the game is not how many great plays you make, it's don't hurt your team with bad plays. But Joe certainly made countless great plays in those games.

I've always thought Brady was better than Peyton. Still do. Peyton is a great regular season quarterback. But Brady surpasses him when it comes to playoff wins and, of course Super Bowls.

Brady has taken lesser offensive teams to the Super Bowl. For all the talk about Wes Welker, teams know how to shut smaller receivers down when it comes playoff time. Brady hasn't had a big-time receiver with the exception of Randy Moss. Yet he has done what it takes to win three Super Bowls. And, really, it was his defense that let him down for a fourth.

The man is right up there with Joe Montana and John Elway in my book, the two quarterbacks I think are the greatest eva.

I'm 26 years old, so my firsthand football history starts when The Boys were winning super bowls in the 90s. I've watched a lot of Peyton and Brady. Throwing out stats and super bowl wins, Peyton is the most impressive QB I've ever seen, and if I had to pick one player in his prime to build a team around, I go Peyton. Just the way he controlled an offense was breathtaking.

Second best team in the league my foot. Remember, this was the 80s - the 1st best, 2nd best, ... probably all the way to 5th best were probably in the NFC most times he won.

Seriously,
'81 Cowboys vs '81 Bengals (not even close)
'88 Vikings vs '88 Bengals (not even close)
'84 Bears vs '84 Dolphins (OK, maybe)
