If he went out for the season on the next play, his replacement would put up similar numbers. You let an NFL QB stand with no pass rush to even think of, and I don't care who he is, he will play great.

I don't agree with that at all, great QB's are great QB's.
Ryan Leaf/Drew Henson would suck with Pats.

Tom Brady is just unfair for the rest of the league. They are going to have to implement the Tom Brady rule which will mandate that anyone named Tom Brady must throw the ball with his opposite hand to give the rest of the teams a chance.

Its so funny seeing people claim that he isnt good in this thread, what NFL do you watch? Brady almost got his team to the Super Bowl last year with absolute garbage at WR, how can anyone claim he isnt a difference maker?

Uhh his backup was 0/2 with an interception. What a joke of a post.

Brady is the best QB right now. I've long stood by Manning and said that he was the best and had absolutely no defensive help along with his pure passing numbers is what made him the #1 out there but Brady is playing God-Like. Simply put, hes putting the best season in the history of the game together.

Cracks me up that people can even attempt to downplay it. Hes got all the rings anyone could want and now hes just putting up Numbers that no one has ever seen. His career high for TDs in a season before this year was 28 and right now he has 27.

As much as I dislike that team, Im not gonna fool myself, hes the best QB in the league right now, hell, maybe ever.

When people post that he's the greatest QB ever, it makes me cringe. It's not because it's not possible, but it just bothers me to hear that about someone I'm watching right now.

He's not a spectacular QB. He never has been. He's the ultimate bus driver, but in the best sense possible. He takes what the defense gives him no matter how small it is. He isn't going to make a play out of nothing. He's not going to "Brett Favre" a play that isn't going anywhere into a play that is, but he also doesn't make the critical mistake which will cost his team the game.

Still, it bothers the hell out of me to say Tom Brady might go down as one of the greatest QBs of all time if not THE greatest. The thing is, it might be true.

Great if you know what the defense is going to do... But who isn't great when they know exactly what the defense is doing?

And two of the TD throws by Brady were actually POOR plays, with Brady throwing into double-coverage. In fact, those two plays Brady had all the time in the world, meaning he knew that here was double coverage, but he just threw it up... One of them, Randy just pushed the coverage man with his arm... Those plays were ALL Randy Moss, and the offesnive line, and had absolutely nothing to do with Brady... in fact, they were bad throws, i.e. lucky...

If it weren't for the fact that the secondary of Miami sucks, they can't tackle worth a dime, and have nobody other than Taylor, Brady would not have made those passes..

And next time you watch the Patriots, watch their offensive line... They simply have Moss run down the field, Brady sits back eating a sandwich, and he dumps it off, and his receiver does all the running after the catch...

What about in previous years when the receivers weren't as good as Moss, Welker and Stallworth? Brady still put up very good numbers and championships. His numbers are better because the talent around him is better. That is what happens when you surround an already good QB with more talent.

He won the SBs by a combined what? Less than 10 points... They cheated.. This year, they got caught... Against the Panthers, the kicker had to shank a kick-off at the 45, which is UNHEARD of... It isn't difficult enginerring a 25 yard drive from mid-field, esecially with the scandal.. Brady needed an invented tuck rule to win his first Super Bowl.

People conveniently forget about a field goal kicker by the name of Vinniateri... he never missed a kick, and was money no matter where he kicked from...

Did you see Brady against San Diego last year? He threw 4 picks when his line couldn't hold up, and somebody actually got pressure on him... Even against Dallas this year, they had to go to max protect... Brady is what he is, because of his offensive line...

People talk about AIkman having a great line and Aikman had like 11 concussions, and he ran the most-precise timing based offense ever... Aikman stook back in the pocket and took hit after hit, yet he delivered the ball with master precision.. When has Brady had even a single concussion? Look at the two plays to Moss... He had at least 7 seconds to throw, and he lobbed it up into double-coverage... In fact, the ball landed in the hands of the Miami cornerback, but if it weren't for his being sorry on that play, the CB would have had an interception...

I give him no respect, especially after the cheating scandal...

Plus, look at this year... QBs are putting up huge numbers, and the league is assisting in this... Brady isn't the only one throwing a lot of yards... This is a pass-happy league..

Well, I never said he was better than Aikman or even compared him to Aikman.

Sure he just lobbed it up and Moss made a play or two. That happens with every QB. Irvin and Harper saved Aikman a time or two. The 38 yarder in the 1992 NFC championship game that Harper hauled in was a great play by Harper. Aikman admitted that he thought he threw a poor pass and that it should have been picked.

Get over the tuck rule. It was not invented on the spot. I saw it called earlier in that season and it was obvious that it applied to the Patriots situation. I think it is a bad rule and always have, but it was applied correctly in that game. Plus the Pats still had to do a lot to win that game and then the next weeks AFC championship game and then the SB. That one play did not give them a SB trophy.

You don't have to give props to Brady. You are not obligated, but it sure sounds as if you think he is some bum back there and that is not the case. The guy is good. It doesn't make me less a fan of the Cowboys to recognize that there are some talented players out there on other teams.
