I used to be this way. But Jerry has ruined this organization. At this point I don't know how it gets fixed. He's too stubborn to admit mistakes and just doubles down now.
I guarantee you he would rather stay the so called GM than give up that role and have the cowboys win the Superbowl. His ego is too big and it is crippling the organization.

Exactly but I'm saying I'm not publicly cheering for us to lose before the game I want us to win every game the rest of the way but I'm not gonna be as hurt as I would when they lose or surprise but I don't wanna hear how we're upset we're playing Cooper rush because we're gonna lose the game now I'd like them to play Trey Lance because I think he needs these last five games all to himself with no pressure just say you go start we're not gonna pull you unless you get hurt and we need to see what we wasted our fourth round pick on so we can all stop Hemming and hawing about whether he sucks or not I wanna see Trey Lance and his wheels which I think it adds to this offense him being able to run and I don't think he can throw much worse than some of the passes I've seen Cooper rush through so I'd like to try our best to win but at the same time we need to put all our young players on display and let them get as many reps as they can.
But my point is I don't want to see or hear about how they wish upon losses and that we get dog punched and curb stomp down the road so it'll show Jerry no I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan I want the Dallas Cowboys to win every game that I turn the game on in the first quarter the only difference now is this year I'm usually turning it off by the fourth quarter before the fourth quarter and then I turn on something to take my mind off the game and then I check online how the games going that's the difference I used to never turn the channel and now i'm turning the channel but i am not turning my back on my team....

I was being sarcastic and facetious because lots of people out here are wishing Jerry Jones the worst and they're saying they hope that every game we're embarrassed and beat and I just can't get on board with that if we organically lose OK it doesn't hurt as much this year the expectations is we're gonna lose maybe every game the rest of the way except for two I see us winning two games probably Carolina and the giants possibly a third one just to really make everybody who wants us to take mad LOL

NO.. Let me give you an alternate theory we're probably gonna lose most of the games anyway but I wanna see the younger guys like say when Trey Lance get it's in there have more of an opportunity to showcase his skills and not have this be a total preseason atmosphere they need some of the better players on the team get a better barometer of some of the other young guys we need to use this like preseason except for we get to have them matched up with a little bit better talent around them so I'm sorry dude I am not coming into these games wishing we're losing no full tank you're gonna organically tank that loss last week gave us not even one extra spot in the draft it sucks don't it so we had to watch a loss and it didn't help our draft prospect..
We will organically lose plenty of games and that's just the way it is but I will never condone wishing for losses and wishing for blowouts so we can embarrass Siri no this is not about Jerry this is about the Dallas cowboy and supporting the star in our next two games being around the holidays I do not want losses I want my Thanksgiving at least the win on Thanksgiving against the giants I'm sorry I'm not getting on board with the whole full tank nonsense by the way it's also not very good for sports when you help other teams out by losing games to their opponents or someone they're seeing down the line or they could end up being a tie broke by we just laying down and giving a basic forfeit to the game that's nonsense you have to have some pride and you have to have to keep the fabric of sports intact you cannot do that if you look at it that way I just never could do that I mean literally it would be wrong for us to lose to Washington on purpose when another team might say they might have got into the playoffs if Washington had lost to us that's just not fair you gotta play fair...

I'm not so sure. We made a couple moves that give the impression we were doing something. Sure we had an injury bug, but what did we do to really be taken seriously?
Zeke? Cooks? Cook? Lance? The new feller? Smoke and mirrors then add to it a very strange qb contract and a coach that fell on his face while pooping his drawers on an embarrassing 1st round playoff at home.
Might be organic but this is a cooked up recipe for tanking.

I'm also not cheering to lose but I doubt we can't help but lose. Rush is horrible and Lance is worse. It's a QB driven league and we just don't have an NFL caliber QB on the roster. Maybe Greer could help. He's certainly not gonna make it worse than already is.

I hear ya, but the season is over and they're trash...at this point I'd rather get a better player for '25 season, then record an empty win, in a meaningless game, in a sunken season.

Right so what's the problem here we should put Trey Lance in I mean why not why not see what your 4th rounder got over a really long period four straight games you hand the keys over and you say look you're not gonna get pulled so don't worry about how you play just go play just show us what you got and unless you're injured we're not pulling you out of the game and he gets to play with a little bit better supporting cast I would like to as a fan just see what that looks like I mean we've been sitting on the bench everyone keeps saying what a wasted pick that was well let's just see how wasted it was in a time where it doesn't matter so people wanna organically lose why not put Lance in anyway... I think he can run a more exciting offense although Mike McCarthy doesn't know how to draw it up you might as well sit Cooper rush make him the number three and bring up will grier both of them can run the same offense and let's just run the Wildcat a bunch of rpos let's just go crazy and yes he can pass off that if something starts working there's a thing called play action passing that don't work here anymore because nobody respects our run game everyone can overcome or lack of strategic scheming especially along the offensive line literally they have no respect for anything anymore so they just laugh when they see play action..
So why don't we give them something they haven't seen; Trey Lance and Will Grier the rest of the way, running all kinds of crazy things,why not make it fun for fans if we're gonna lose but let's make it hard on the other team don't lay down, let's go crazy!!
I mean if Jerry was smart and he was trying to keep fans attention to so less seats are being sold and more people stay coming to this game they know it's a lost season this is what you do you create something different and fun and if you lose it doesn't matter at least we have something different to watch the last quarter of the season versus the other 3/4 which have sucked balls..

Really you think you're gonna get a player whether it's at 5 or 8 you're saying that nobody misses up top that makes it more difficult when you have more guys on your board and we need so many positions that our front office is gonna make the right choice? You know Trey Lance they traded up three first round picks to get that guy way up there on the board wasn't he a top five pick you're trying to tell me that somehow it increases our odds picking at 5:00 or picking at 8-9 or ten like I don't see it there's gonna be a good player up there you full of your boards unless you really need a quarterback teams usually trade down and still get their guys when you're talking about skill guys so I don't know how you think losing some games on purpose versus organically that's my point you bring back the players that wanna play but you can match them up with Trey Lance and will grier instead of Cooper rush and make this more fun run some rpos, wildcat, lots of misdirection and reverses, double fakes, , do whatever you're gonna probably lose anyway, but I'm still not laying down for other teams I'm not taking on purpose,
I am not losing on purpose, we've seen this happen, and I love Miami did this remember the whole tank for TUa nonsense and then somehow at the end of the year it almost got a coach fired or it might have I don't remember they basically won two or three games they weren't supposed to ended up moving out of what they thought would get them TUA, and eventually what happened TUA fell to him...
There's no guarantee a few spots up top is gonna give us any more advantage so I think you just play and however you fall you fall there's plenty of players in the top ten that are gonna be good and some of them you would overdraft here at 5 maybe if you're at 10 it's easier choose one of the players on your board. There's no way we're falling out of the top ten regardless of few more wins or losses there's too many moving parts still with lots of games left I mean I get why you guys keep saying that but I've seen it over and over there is no guarantees even picking number one overall but you only wanna be in the top three if you need a quarterback because there aren't that many there's usually one every draft so you gotta hopefully you pick the right 1 and in this case Baker Mayfield and a bunch of guys like him Bryce young Caleb Williams weren't they all taken before CJ Stroud and Jayden Daniels and some other ones that turned out better than the ones that went ahead of them so there's no guarantee in my opinion and like I said with this front office it might take some pressure off picking outside the top five but staying in the top ten you probably get a better player and I get we could trade down I get all the scenarios but I don't need to be told that like we should just put healthy players on the bench....
To me it's against the fabric of sports you have to have some pride and you can't lay down and lose games to a team that possibly has another opponent that's counting on them to lose and it's not fair giving some free wins away because it affects to the league... But I am open for playing around with the quarterback position and I think Cooper rush should be benched and we should elevate will grier and make trey lance a starter the rest of the way.. If something happens to Trey Lance running all these crazy rpos type offense the Wildcat all that will grier will be the next best choice and he could just keep it going that's what I would do so you probably still lose anyway but at least give those guys your best players that's the point back to Brandon cooks i was gonna get there eventually....
