The opinions of scouts that spoke to NFL.com's Bucky Brooks is "nearly unanimous that, right now, [Oregon State junior WR Brandin] Cooks is a superior player to [USC junior WR Marqise] Lee."
"Cooks is just as explosive as Lee, but more consistent as a pass catcher," an NFC South scout said. Lee has collected 235 receptions for 3,468 yards and 27 receiving touchdowns in 34 career games, but he hasn't been nearly as dynamic as a junior as he was as a sophomore. Cooks, meanwhile, failed to surpass 100 receiving yards or score a touchdown for the first time this season on Saturday against Arizona State. We love Cooks' next-level potential as a slot receiver. If he comes out, it will be really interesting to see how he runs. Also, I like the fact that he would still only be 20 when he's picked...2 years younger than lee.
