You are correct that Fassel was not employed by the Titans yet, but the NFL anti-tampering policy states:

"No club, nor any person employed by or otherwise affiliated with a club, is permitted to tamper with a player who is under contract to or whose exclusive negotiating rights are held by another club." There is no doubt that suggesting to a player under contract, we want to trade for you, would be tampering if Fassel was under contract.

The question is if Fassel was offered a deal with the Titans, and verbally accepted, does that constitute team affiliation by NFL rules?. I suspect the league will do nothing right now, but if the Titans make an offer to Dallas to trade for Aubrey, that might be enough for Dallas to file a tampering complaint. Further, Aubrey is in the last year of his contract. If Dallas offers him an extension and he refuses to sign, Dallas could argue tampering in this case as well.

This will all depend on how the league sees this interaction between Aubrey and Fassel, and Fassel's status with the Titans. The tampering policy is to prevent one team from causing contract problems with another team.

No chance they trade Aubrey.

But they definitely will bring in Goodwin, Seig and possibly Anger.

if not I consider this tampering I think Jerry should go to the commissioner and say he's trying to poach our players that are not available free agents therefore it's tampering, and we should get a draft pick for it they should give us the number one overall pick :muttley:

They're not gonna be able to get everybody can we calm down about who we may or may not lose and also remember that we only won seven games last year we're on a downward trend and all these ex coaches and everyone's all been out of shape we've lost they were all part of the bad times as well so the ex coaches the ex players they all were part of this good bad or indifferent they were here...

Every team loses coaches and players this is not a new thing I'm not worried about it but that's trying to give them three of those players and use the word definitely do you guys have some kind of inside source that I don't have are you have a red phone did you wiretap all the NFL offices because you all say things like you know it to be a fact and I think that's odd because I'm gonna have to call BS and no that's not Brian schottenheimer lol

Inside source? No

Do guys tend to follow certain coaches? Absolutely.

Goodwin has been solid for us, but the new regime may want to go younger. Fassel will want familiar faces to implement his system

but don't use words definitely because you have no idea you use three players you're saying all three players are going to all go to the Titans I tell you what we'll keep some receipts and then we'll get back don't back yourself into words that are concrete words like never indefinitely they don't work on the Internet because you don't know..

I mean it's just like all the nonsense everybody knew that Jason Witten was somehow gonna be part of this staff and that is why Mike McCarthy left and no that is not why Mike McCarthy left and now it turns out that was a rumor that had no validity and no substantial evidence to prove otherwise and now it looks like he's not gonna be on this new staff and therefore it's simple as this Mike McCarthy probably was asked to change his entire offensive staff and not do the play calling he got upset they couldn't come to a new agreement and he left had nothing to do about money had nothing to do about Jason Witten had nothing to do about years Jerry if he wanted Mike McCarthy back he could have had him he's still out there he chose to let him walk it was a mutual of the ways but these things all aro....y say definite that i'm gonna call BS....

Besides the fact that bones is not a head coach he's not even a strong assistant coach he's a special teams coach he's gonna have no power he has zero in the decision making and and him getting three players off one team to come there I'd say that that has less of a chance to happen than you think... I didn't say you shouldn't reach for that thought it makes sense but it using the word definitely it's just the wrong place to do it because you don't know and you have no way to prove it until it happens... Good thing March is coming up real fast and you can let us know in March keep a receipt let me know when all three of those players go to the Titans...

You can brag then but I'm saying using the word definitely I'm just calling you out....Never, always, definitely, doesn't typically hold true.. there's always an exception and there's always the unknown..
