When you consider that number of 50-plus-yarders, that's pretty amazing. I know what kickers do one season means nothing the next year, but Aubrey's really just at the start of his kicking career and already doing this.

How did you feel in training camp?

I wanted Aubrey brought in, along with the other USFL kicker, who was from Michigan, but I thought we had a better shot at Aubrey since he was from Texas. When we didn't bring in the other kicker, I wanted to bring Maher back to compete with Aubrey instead of Vizcaino.

The reports from Oxnard didn't bother me because the conditions there are tough for kickers.
