I reviewed several Ravens games from 2019 to see how they were using Carr.
Starting Outside CB
3rd CB
Safety
Game 17: ET was out and Carr replaced him.
Marcus Peters: 9 starts
Marlon Humphrey: 15 starts
In the games that only 1 of Peters or Humphrey started, Carr started at outside CB.
In the games with both Peters and Humphrey starting, Carr played some as a 3rd CB and some as a Safety.
On 3rd downs the Ravens often had their starting SS (Clark) playing LB.
- With Clark at LB, Carr played Safety.
The Ravens played a similar defensive scheme to what Mike Nolan has used in the past.
- Base 2-deep Safety look with Safeties adjusting based on their "reads" not on defensive call.
- When in 4-3 the SLB was a big 3-4 type LB.
- Played many snaps in a 3-4.
- Standard 4-2-5 Nickel
- Big Dime with SS Clark replacing a LB and Carr replacing Clark at Safety.
