"If you want to be an elite corner you have to play both sides of the field," Carr said last week after a tour of the ESPN studios in Bristol, Conn. "And you have to challenge yourself and play outside your comfort zone and play the left or the right, play in the slot or play wherever is needed. That's why this offseason I got [to] adjust to both sides of the field, so come September 5 I can play on both sides and be comfortable. I've been pushing myself out of my comfort zone and playing on my left side."

I am loving this quote.

talk is cheap, but it shows that he isn't bringing a complacent mentality into the organization. he also isn't a diva and is willing to bust his *** to make a difference on the team. he actually sounds like a very very good leader.

I agree

raising the bar for Jenkins. love it. if you want Carr money, you're gonna have to earn it. and prove that you're just as good if not better than him.

Per PFF.com 's twitter : @ProFootbalFocus: Cowboys fans - good news: Last year on deep passes (20+), Brandon Carr allowed just 3 of 20 targets, for 88 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs. in the words of Bart Scott. CANT WAIT!!!

Talk is cheap.

Romo wears his cap backwards.

Romo plays golf.

Romo has no leadershipz.

Great point. Also, Carr isn't just "talking" he has already backed up his talk in KC and that is why he got the big bucks to come here. He is not mentally weak like so many other players on our team.. Spencer, Spears, Scandrick, Sensabaugh, and a few others I won't name. Hopefully he influences them instead of the other way around.

I want more players with fire like him. We need to weed out the mentally weak on this team and replace them with players with swagger.

I'm confused. Plus, I thought Tony stopped wearing his hat backward.

I couldn't agree more. None of this sissy business. No divas just people who grind it out and get busy.

A thread can be started about tony romo loving his family or jerry jones curing cancer and there'd be people bashing it.

These guys are saying the right things now lets see them stack good days on top of eachother. Only then will this team go anywhere.

given our secondary issues aslong as your can turn your head and make an attempt to swat a pass down then your worth 50 mil to me

I know there are questions as to whether this kid is worth $10 MM a year. Maybe he won't be. In some respects its not his fault the market is what it is.

That said. I really like everything I've seen and heard about and from him. I like his size. I like his attitude. I like his youth. I like his humility. I think its going to be great fun rooting for Brandon Carr and have him representing our team.

How the heck is Spears mentally weak? He is almost never injured and is apparently the only guy that comes in to work out on off days?

The more I hear him talk, and see him smile about being on the Cowboys, it makes me really happy about the signing.

Me too. I started out with a healthy dose of skepticism, but optimistic. Now, he's just making it really hard not to be excited about signing him. I'm def. looking forward to watching him play.
