It works a lot better when you have Warren Sapp, Ronde Barber, John Lynch, and Simeon Rice than it does with Nick Hayden, Brandon Carr, Jeff Heath, and George Selvie.
When you're right you're right.

Which is why they're basically going to use him in zone or covering TEs.

If Carr ends up in man coverage on, say, Cooper Kupp week 1, the scheme failed.
For the most part, this team is gonna have to get to the QB before they have time to do much of anything.

I'd rather have a good rush trying to cover a bad secondary than the opposite, but that is indeed what's going on here.

I do think it ends up to where that works for the most part, and teams line up to overpay our FA DBs next March.

He's ready to play... on the practice squad?

There are four "protected" spots on the PS that are basically part of the active roster so the player can't sign elsewhere. Two of those four are active for each game, this is from an article on it -

To complicate matters more, the NFL is now allowing each team to “protect” four players on the practice squad each week, so on Tuesday afternoon, those players cannot sign with another NFL team until after the team’s next game. This allows the team to know what its available depth will be each week, and the initial list of protected players released Tuesday was high on positions where there’s limited depth on the 53-man roster, like quarterback, kicker and return specialist, establishing what are essentially understudies for key roles.

NFL rosters are still set at 53 players, but the league is allowing teams to promote two players from the practice squad each week for what will be a 55-man game-day roster, which includes 48 players who are active and will dress and play. In the past, promoting a player from the practice squad for a game meant exposing them to waivers if you seek to put them back on the practice squad, and now these two game-day promotions will be exempt from waivers, though each individual player can only be promoted twice within a season.

Is this something they are just going to do this year to help them deal with covid or are they going to continue with this in future seasons?

Love Carr but this is an indication of how weak our secondary is if we have to sign a 13 yr vet just cut by another team. Having said that, he will be an upgrade and a veteran influence for the young guys.[/QUOTE

Pass rush should help

It sounds like it is only for this year for Covid, its the typical NFL move to expand the rosters temporarily but do it in the absolute cheapest way possible.

Convincing billionaires to part with pennies isnt easy.

Wealthy people are the cheapest people on earth.

Rich people spend money.

No they call PI on Carr but it should have been on Beckham. it literally throws car to the ground..

Maybe that's why I remembered it that way.
Because that's what should've been called and
eventually it didn't matter because Dallas win (I usually say "we" but the hyenas would come caliin')

Whew, anyway, I'm glad I finally figured this thing out with your help... lol
Thanks.

I’d never seen ET get owned so bad...until that play.
...no kidding, I had to triple check to make sure it was him. Henry made him look like the guy plays Varsity Squad. ;)..

But the tackling required for a #1 CB is a lot of different than tackling for a deep safety playing zone most of the time.
I know it's a TD now when he closes his eyes and whiffs.
